Peppers Bluewater Resort, Lake Tekapo

I recently stayed at Peppers in Tekapo and had a generally positive experience. The hotel offers stunning views of Lake Tekapo, from some rooms and unfortunatley I did not get offered this even though most rooms were empty on the sholuder season. The surrounding mountains, creating a tranquil and picturesque setting. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, featuring modern amenities and tasteful decor. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant stay. However, I found that the quality, while good, did not quite justify the higher price point. The hotel is slightly overpriced for what you get, especially considering the many excellent alternatives in the area. While I enjoyed my stay, I will likely explore other options in the future for better value. Overall, Peppers in Tekapo is a lovely place to stay if you're willing to pay a premium for the location and views. Four stars for the beautiful setting and quality service, but keep the price factor in mind when booking.

The base room was quite small but adequate for our one night stay. Would recommend a larger room if staying longer. Bathroom was large and clean with all appointed toiletries. Dinner at the restaurant Rakinui was quite good. Large serving sizes for the Tapas dishes and good value with the Accor plus discount. The gnocchi was quite hard but all others were great. Usual price was $99 for 6 dishes. Good location close to Tekapo shops. Friendly service from reception and bar staff.

The rooms are small. There's no place to put the suitcase. The block numbers cannot be seen and not written big on the wall. At night it is pitch dark and u need a torchlight to find your block. Easy to get lost looking for your room. Service is blah. Beds are single beds ...very narrow. Mirrors in the toilet are too high for those who are 1.5m tall and below

Perfect location with views over the lake. Our room was a reasonable size, bathroom was spacious, balcony was good and king bed was comfortable. This was the most expensive room we stayed in during our trip but not the nicest. However, check in time was 2pm but our room wasn't ready until 4.30pm. Staff were friendly. We did get a complimentary drinks voucher to make up for the delay but I would rather the room be ready on time. The food in the hotel restaurant was good and reasonably priced especially after Accor Live membership discount. A big shout out to the young male bartender who had to cover the restaurant too on his own before 6pm. It was very busy due to everyone eating in because of bad weather but he always had a smile on his face and was polite and friendly, as 3 reception staff stood nearby not doing much.

Didn't really know what to expect but this hotel was above our expectations. A huge living/dining area upstairs from the bedroom. Nice breakfast buffet. Very kindly left us a congratulations note and a dessert platter in the fridge for our wedding anniversary. A shame that we only had 1 night here. Would definitely stay again.Rooms: 5/5

This property is huge but unfortunately not as good as other peppers property. Location and view is good. But when it's dark u can't see anything much, they need to have some good amount of lights through the way to your room. Staff who.i came across during my check out were quite good two ladies Kate and her manger, rest the staff was quite arrogant.

An overall disappointing experience as we have enjoyed fabulous stays at some Peppers Resorts in Australia. We arrived around 4.00 p.m. in the afternoon to a busy reception, but that is to be expected. What was not expected was piles of clean/dirty laundry bags on the footpath to our unit. The room was pleasant but with limited views and the obviously broken bedside table lamp was replaced fairly quickly when we noticed it was not working. The restaurant meal was overpriced and while the staff were very welcoming, they were rushed. Our main courses were adequate but the sticky date pudding I ordered came as a dry sponge with barely any sauce. I asked for more sauce and was brought a cold, small jug of congealed liquid. Not happy and in hindsight I should have sent it back and not paid the $18.00 for it. Accommodation like this feels like a sausage machine; catering for coach tours and churning people in and out with a fair degree of mercenary cynicism.

Well, we felt a little disappointed after our stay at the hotel. We came for our honeymoon and we found that they gave us a room at the end of everything, despite that we were positive but when we entered the room it seemed like we were in a bungalow. Yes, it is true that the staff's treatment was quite good, but of course we didn't like that at all, they gave you a welcome gift. We had noise all night from a bus that was there and there was a couple upstairs who could be heard quite a bit. As for the breakfast, we didn't like it very much, nor the best thing about the hotel is the location.

Two bed lake view apartments nice, but the "hotel room" that makes up the 2nd bedroom is very small and gloomy. Would not choose that as an option if looking for a room for anything other than an overnight stop on a journey. Location great. Nice staff and good clean comfortable apartment. Rooms: Apartment very nice clean and comfortable. Well stocked and decent kitchen facilities. Hotel room that makes up the 2nd bedroom and bathroom is small and dark. Walkability: Great location right opposite shops and bars/restaurants

Our room was a little on the small side. Difficult to navigate 2 cases. Evening meal and breakfast were great and good value. Great location opposite the lake. Fantastic staffRooms: 3/5
