Pleasant walk with beautiful views of lake Wakatipu & surrounding mountains. It's about 4 kms return, quite easy with just a few steep sections. Follows the lake edge to a small beach & boat ramp. There are a couple of seats to admire the views on the way
Great walk from Queenstown. We wish we’d taken a picnic or swimsuits so we could of stayed longer at the beach. Beautiful walk and stunning bay. The beach is pebbly so if you want to lay down might be worth taking a sun lounger or lots of towels. There are some steep bits if you have mobility issues.
Nice easy walk close to Queenstown that can be done out and back. Has good views of the mountains across the lake. Even better in winter with snowy mountains.
An easy/moderate walk with good shade coverage through woodlands and you reach the most gorgeous beach. There are other smaller beaches you can visit along the way, but Sunshine Bay is the one with the best view
Easy walk, you can walk it with sneakers or converse. View is beautiful. It seems like not much people around, so it’s a bit scary when you walk alone.
