Great walk in Queenstown.nnIt’s a little more challenging then what you may believe, as some parts are a little scramble and others quite steep.nnAll in all though, the walk is beautiful and doable in a morning.nnIt took us a little over an hour going up and then pretty quick down.nnThe views at the summit are well worth it.
Steady uphill climb. Track can be a bit confusing, especially towards the Basket of Dreams. Highly recommend continuing further up from the Basket of Dreams. The views are so soooo worthwhile! Loved this track and hike so much!nMake sure you have enough daylight as it can get very dark when you're by the trees.
It took us just over 1.5h to do the whole thing. About 5.5kms. We took the longer route on the way up as it was less steep. We took the steep route on the way down, it was a slippery even tho it was a clear day so watch out after rainy days. Very limited parking. 5 spots at the start of the trail, otherwise you can park on the nearby streets. Not has hard as thought. With a few breaks it’s fine and very doable. Beautiful views at the summit. Otherwise you’re just in the middle of the forest most of the time.
Very nice walk, doesn't take too long. Need to be fit. I recomend doing the looptrack if you got the time, since its very beautifil and decorated. Also easy to go in darknes. Had a very good view if the night sky of Queenstown. Almost no parking and no Freedom Camping at carpark.

Less then 2 hours return and we didnt see propersunset maybe cause its AprilThe sun went to the back of the big mountain. Still used walking poles though no one else didyoung knees are so good haha.
