5 stars out of 5. I have seen some reviews about people being unhappy about the shared platters but I think that it worked really well for my family. We were visiting from Auckland and had never been here before. We had a very warm and welcoming hostess/ owner who looked after our seating and order. We were 4 of us and we had a few drinks and the dumplings and Shared platter. The dumplings were soft and the dressing was delicious. The platter was amazing. I wasn’t sure if it would be enough but it was and we were so full that we couldn’t order dessert. The restaurant had an amazing atmosphere and I loved the library vibe that they had. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
The Event Girl booked the Story Teller for a client, from the start of the interaction to the end of the event - the service level was outstanding. Brodie and her team made sure we were well looked after in a beautiful setting with food that was amazing! Thanks so much for allowing us to use your venue - highly recommend.nnThe Event Girl Team x
Service and servers were fantastic as always. A little bit slower this time but it was incredibly busy. We always go a little nuts here and the bill for the 2 of us usually sits around the 250+ mark However, the new menu structure, we simply found it didn't work for us, when we order we like to have our own meals complete with side dishes disappointed we had to order sides separate and my steak pieces $45 not a steak was very fatty. This place does not need to reinvent the wheel especially with how amazing their food has been. I hope one day they change it back and then we'll come back. Unfortunately until then we'll be dining elsewhere.
Nice place, impressed with the food presented. Chrispy chicken & warm bread loaf, tasty and filling.
Such a lovely place. It’s great to see a place that doesn’t try to be too fancy for its own good. I had a great chicken burger that was simple but wonderful, so much better than a lot of other places. The chicken was cooked to perfection, wonderfully crispy on the outside, moist and succulent on the inside.nnOne more thing, thank you so much for not over stuffing the burger. Big burgers should be wider not taller, and you nailed this.
