This pink-brick winery was so pretty and interesting. You could drink 3 wines for $25 and it tasted great! If the other wineries had a strong local feel, this seemed like a more sophisticated and commercialized restaurant. However, at first, you offered water and ordered sparkling water, but it was sad because it cost $6 each.
Came here for lunch and it was absolutely fantastic!! Seafood was all lovely and fresh the mussels were the biggest I've ever seen and delicious! Service was also first class... wish we were here longer to come back!!
Came here for lunch and wine-tasting. Food was tasty, and we loved sitting on the deck, which provides a lovely view overlooking the vineyard. Very lively atmosphere, had a great time.
During my trip to Waiheke Island, I had the pleasure of visiting Stonyridge Winery, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget.nnThe wine tasting at Stonyridge was an absolute treat, with an impressive range of wines at surprisingly great prices. I was able to sample their Pinot Gris, Airfield, and Larose, a Bordeaux-style blend. The staff was knowledgeable, taking time to explain each wine in detail. It was clear they were passionate about what they do, and it added so much to the experience.nnAs for the food, the appetizers were a perfect accompaniment to the wines. One dish that stood out was the watermelon salad—an unexpected delight! The watermelon’s refreshing sweetness was paired with tangy feta and a hint of mint, creating a wonderfully light and flavorful dish. It was the perfect palate cleanser between tastings, and its fresh, summery vibe made it ideal for the winery’s outdoor setting.nnThe ambiance at Stonyridge is second to none. Set among the rolling hills of Waiheke Island, with lush vineyards and olive trees surrounding the outdoor seating area, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. It’s the kind of place where you can relax for hours, sipping wine and soaking in the views.
This is such a nice place to rejuvenate and escape from the city. We sailed from Auckland city to the beautiful Waiheke Island. Stoneyridge provided a warm meal for us to feast at.nnI just hope there’s more vegetarian options for my colleagues next time.
