This was the second winery I visited during my trip to Waiheke Island, and overall, it was decent. If you're catching the island tour bus, be prepared for a decent walk from the bus stop to the winery. The walk does come with some beautiful scenic views, though.nnWhen I visited, the winery appeared to be undergoing renovations, which limited access to certain areas and likely affected the overall experience. I did the $25 red wine tasting, which included three red wines that were quite enjoyable. I liked one enough to buy a bottle to take home for $65.
Keeping in mind that they are doing building work there, they have kept most of the view unspoilt whilst you enjoy your wines and food. Fantastic customer service who knew their wines and who were very welcoming. Wines were good and were reasonably priced. I would return again definitely.
Delicious food, gorgeous view, great wine and awesome olive oil. I bought two bottles of olive oil from here as it is rich in flavour. If I have to go to Auckland again I will go back to this place!
We dropped by Stonyridge Vineyard and were warmly greeted by their accommodating staff. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful—lush greenery, peaceful views, and a tranquil atmosphere that made us want to stay longer. We picked up a bottle of their popular red and took a moment to soak in the natural beauty around us. A lovely and relaxing stop that truly captures the charm of Waiheke Island.
We did visit a couple of vineyards during our day trip to Waiheke, and we loved Stonyridge. It was a bit less crowded than other major vineyards, but it has so much character. It is very peaceful, and the scenery is so beautiful. Highly recommended!
