Springs Pizza

Such a great find in Hanmer Springs! We had just finished a session at the hot springs and were wondering what to grab for dinner. After a quick google search, we found Springs Pizza and called ahead to order a Pepperoni Pizza. We then headed over to pick up our pizza just a quick walk away from the hot springs. Once the Pizza was ready, we sat on the swing bench right next to the store and promptly proceeded to devour the entire Pizza in less than 10 minutes! The pizza was so good that we ended up ordering another one. We are not big fans of BBQ sauce on pizza, but when we saw that the BBQ sauce was home made, we had to try the Meat Lovers. Safe to say, we also quickly demolished the second pizza! The pizzas are thin crust style, with a great balance of sauce, cheese and toppings. There is also parmesan cheese, chilli flakes and oregano avaibale to sprinkle on the pizzas. We will definitely be back to get more pizzas upon our return to Hamner Springs!

Changed to one star after the owners childish reply, please learn some professionalism with dealing with feedback and I'll stick by that "Merit" I severely overestimated this pizza by all the great reviews and advertising. I'm no chef or pizza connoisseur by any means but my taste buds have experienced many great pizzas and these unfortunately we're not one of them. The pizza sauce is over powering and the cheese isn't really a pizza blend cheese these pizzas are comparable to a super market pizza with fresher ingredients and I'm definitely not trying to be rude but the massive overhype of these left such a bitter taste in our mouths. The dough may also be hand made but it feels like a pre made cheap base, it's not thin or tasty it's just... Average. The wait times are long BUT you are well warned both online and when you order, I was willing to be patient as these are cooked in batches, if you don't like waiting go elsewhere or order in advance like the ower suggests. Attitude as mentioned goes a long way, I truely believe Neal does not realise how arrogant and gruff he comes across to people as mentioned in multiple reviews I laughed it off and tried to atleast get a smile out of the guy with some light humour and I believe there was almost a bite but I definitely think there is LARGE room for improvement Neal Pizza 2/5 Service 2/5 Wait time 3/5

My partner and me got the BBQ chicken pizza here on Sunday and it was amazing. It's probably one of the best pizzas I personally have had in NZ. The tomato base sauce was incredible! I was honestly so blown away by it. Definitely call ahead to order as there may be a bit of wait but it's so worth it!

Best tasting pizza in New Zealand and even better service to go along with it. My husband and I walked up and ordered a pizza at 3pm, not realising that the shop didn't start cooking until 4pm. Instead of making us wait until 4, the amazing owner started cooking it once the ovens had warmed up and it was ready by 3:30pm. Highly recommend

Always such a treat to indulge Springs Pizza delicious, authentic and oh so real creations. They're all great, however I lean to salmon deluxe and vegetarian. As a well travelled local home owner I will definitely support these guys Food: 5/5

We ordered 4 pizzas, Pepperoni, Meatlovers and 2 BBQ chicken. They were all delicious, but the BBQ chicken was definitely the favourite. The leftovers were even delicious cold the next morning. Stated wait time was accurate.

Good pizzas thanks. When we were there operating hours 4-9pm. Make sure to order ahead as its a popular place or a reason! The guy behind the counter seemed a bit gruff, but I put it down to him being so busy...

We had the plain cheese pizza and it was absolutely devine!!! A very thin base and all the toppings went all the way to edge. It was the best tasting pizza.that we have tasted in years. So you must go there and sample it.

Had the hawaiian . About 25min wait as I order on arrival and he had several orders ahead. Was well worth it. So fresh and bloody tasty. 3 yums up from me..Food: 5/5
