Sprig + Fern Tavern, Tahuna

Great food. I had the Bangers and Mash, which was the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a few.nApparently it was the first night this was back on the menu, and the pork, fennel, and leek sausages were handmade by the chef. They were truly exceptional.nWe also had the Yorkshire pudding as sliders which were very generous for a small plate.nOverall the food and service were excellent. The restaurant itself is kind of standard pub.

Literally as perfect as pub as New Zealand or anywhere offers. Staff are friendly, food is great and the beers hit the spot every time. Came for one after the beach but stayed in the garden for food and drinks into the evening. Chips are also the best in the southern hemisphere

I don’t usually write reviews but I recently tried the nachos and I have to say, it I was an experience like no other! The nachos came with perfectly melted cheese, crispy tortilla chips, and a generous helping of toppings—sour cream, guacamole, cheese and jalapeños. But the real showstopper was the edible bowl it all came in! A slightly crunchy bowl made from a thick tortilla, making it the ultimate combination of convenience and taste. Fantastic service by the young lady who took my order Katie I think?. And to top it off, a gorgeous Fern larger. Can’t wait to come back.

Great place. Friendliest staff ever. Great service. They look after the customers. Amazing food. Don't go past the garlic chips and Yorkshire sliders. Quiz nights are a blast. Safe place even if you're on your own. Totally recommend.

Sprig & fern never dissapoints!!! Best food and beers in the whole south island. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Our favorite place in all New Zealand.
