Spirit House Wellington

This is a little hidden gem in Miramar. Good food, ambience and service for a party of 6. If you like Thai food, you have to go here. All the dishes were delicious. The only negative was that the roti felt like it was a paratha out of a packet and not the Thai roti you generally get at Thai restaurants.

Great food but poor service. Hard to get their attention as they were talking to each other. We ordered beef curry which came half an hour later after the rest of the family had finished and ready to go. The guy who served the curry didn't look apologise at all, plainly asked is this right and if we want to get it taken away. Dining out with family, we would like to enjoy food at the same time. They could have served all dishes together or at least warned us when we ordered.

Amazing food and service! Couldn't have asked for a better dinner! Already looking forward to going back! Really recommend this place!

Very disappointed with our experience, unfortunately the delicious food was ruined with bad service. After calling to ask if we could come 30 minutes before our booking we were told that was okay and a table will be ready and then called for them to say to turn up at the original time we were standing outside and the waitress blamed her manager. When we arrived at the original booking time our table wasn't ready and there weren't high chairs at our table even though we asked over the phone, when we asked again for the high chairs the extra chairs weren't removed and the high chairs were left for us to make room for. . when we finally sat down and ordered, our drinks came 1hr after ordering after asking for them a third time and also came warm and flat. Our entree was missing an element of the dish fresh spring rolls on the combination entree and then when we said something we were only then told they had run out, if we had been told we could have ordered something else for our child. When paying and voicing our experience the waitress again blamed the manager for all the mistakes, no sincere apologies only excuses and no offer to remove the drinks we waited so long for or the missing rolls. Previous experiences have been wonderful, but unfortunately not this time.

This is possibly the worst establishment I have had the misfortune of stepping foot in. The waiters are fat lazy slobs. I noted them on their phones playing silly cooking games and humming instead of serving me! Finally one served me but grabbed the wrong plate, instead of the tasty dumplings I was served a deep fried rat covered in a suspicious green stew, I wouldn't rule out sewage water. When I asked for refund they simply spat in my face and told me to scram. I warn you from going here in the future.

Good food. Busy place, we didn't book but luckily they were able to provide a small table near the entrance only downside to this was little chilly from the door opening- however out fault for not booking ahead on a Friday night But service was great and good was very enjoyable.

A night to forget. This place has been closed for 6 months and only just re-opened. People all around us in the restaurant were complaining of wait times. 2 hours and still no food. We ordered drinks that were served with-in a few minutes, but had no entrée after 40 minutes. We spoke to the manager and left with no charge. It saddened me greatly as this is our local and there are clearly teething issues. I hope they sort soon. The new take away system, only 2 chefs, and new front of house staff obviously need time to gel. Please Spirit House, Please pull it together.

Update: Got home and they cooked the wrong order, Vege Green Curry instead of Chicken. I called and they had the correct order ready for pickup when I returned. Ordered and paid for a takeaway using the takeaway order terminal by counter, waited 20 mins before checking my order with the wait staff after multiple customers complained about wait times of 1 - 2 hours and incorrect orders. Discovered my order didn't exist with the kitchen ordering system didn't work which they knew and had to enter manually = more waiting for food. I asked for them to put up a out of order sign to help others avoid this. A little surprised they weren't more proactive about checking with people in the waiting area to avoid this. The front of house person Alexis was great with their customer interactions as every customer they spoke to was not happy

First time here went with family as they eat here regularly. Ordered Nasi Goreng which was superb the balance of flavor was great, fresh veg and pineapple with tomato and a decent serving for the price. Could definitely fill two people. Others ordered Singapore satay, garlic hot plate with rice, spring rolls, roti and peanut sauce to top it off with Chocolate sauce brownie. All were superb and good sizes. By personal preference I didn't care for the peanut sauce that came with the roti nor did I like the roti but that's my preference. Brownie was gorgeous however I'd Prob ask the chocolate sauce be added closer together or next to the brownie as you'll see from the photo I lost my sauce to the plate but what i managed to scoop up was delish. Great chefs or cooks here I was told there were two Thai ladies cooking until they hire a new chef. Great environment, nice and clean but I noticed it was a little too dark to read the menu so we got our mobile phs out to shine the light to read it as did the table next to us so perhaps increasing the lighting a bit might help. Pricing is fair however maybe for some dishes they are slightly overpriced like the brownie dish was $10. Probably bring the price down a little more but overall happy with the food. Definitely eat here again. Saw they could cater for larger groups, families and couples. Had a bit of problem trying to book online so rang closer to opening and managed to score a table but definitely book ahead if you want a table reservation.
