Story

Whether you are learning Spanish because your family or partner is from a Hispanic country; you want to travel in Latin America or Spain or you want your children to speak a second language, we are the perfect help for you. Taught by qualified native and also experienced teachers in the Spanish and English languages we are the only dedicated Spanish language school in Christchurch. We are in 69 Worcester Boulevard, City Centre - Languages International, Salsa Latina, Hanmer Street - Avonside, Beckenham, Ladbrooks, Lincoln, Tai Tapu and Fendalton Schools.

Laura D'Amico is one of the 4 teachers and the Head of Speak Spanish. We are the only dedicated Spanish school in Chch. Laura has been working in the education industry in NZ for more than 6 years now. She has also been working in administration and marketing promoting one of the oldest second language institutions in the country: Dominion English Schools. Laura's experience comes from her studies in Argentina - Universidad de Buenos Aires, Instituto Superior n 24 B. Houssay and Asociación Argentina de Profesores de Español and New Zealand - CPIT (Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology - Laura is a CELTA qualified teacher: Certificate in teaching English to speakers of other languages) and most important class experience. She has worked in several environments: schools, private institutions, one-to-one classes in Argentina and New Zealand. She taught adults and children alike. She taught English as a second language but when she moved to NZ, she became to be very interested in promoting her always loved language and culture so she introduced herself to the study of Spanish (even though Spanish is her first language). She has taught English in Dominion English School Christchurch, CCEL (Christchurch College of English Limited situated in the Canterbury University campus) and GEOS Christchurch Language Centre.

We are running from several locations in Chch: Avonside, City Centre (Worcester Boulevard & Salsa Latina) and schools. Our courses are for learners of Spanish as a second language (children and adults) as well as supporting children (whose parents are native speakers) in Spanish learning.
