We’ve been going here for a couple of years and consistently get very generous servings, fresh ingredients, and lovely staff too. Especially the woman is so full of energy. Highly recommend the garlic fries!!!
The food here is delightful. We all had souviaki meals, so meat, salad,chips and bread. So good. Unfortunately there wasn't beef that day so we all had chicken. This is takeaway, so we popped over to the beach and watched the planes land while we ate our dinner. ONLY thing missing was oIives in the salad no pictures as we ate it so fast.
The best Souvlaki’s in Wellington with the freshest produce. The Owners are so lovely and put so much love into their food. Thank you! x
Good price and large portions - excellent value for money. However both the fish and the chips are incredibly greasy.
What can be said of Acropolis? I have to pause and think how to best describe their contribution to the fish and chip game… Acropolis holds LEGENDARY status for a move no one in Aotearoa saw coming. It is genuinely hard to believe mere mortals could produce a dish so simple and yet so decadent but the aptly named Odyssey is by far the closest thing anyone worth their salt would call "A class" fast food. A seemingly straightforward combination of sauces with contrasting flavour profiles mixed with marinated chicken on a bed of chips, which all sounds simple enough on paper but is nothing short of bombastic in its execution. This highly recommended masterpiece is a not to be missed experience for any true connoisseur of the fried arts. I have had to stop myself from consuming it almost every day, attempting to taper off numerous times only to be drawn back in by the ease and speed with which it can be ordered and delivered. I'm actually glad Ubereats is so unreliable, intermittent and unavailable for delivery or I would never have stopped packing it down so fiendishly. - David from Seatoun
The traditional souvlaki is to die for, pita is so soft! Only $9.50 for the snack size which was more than enough for me. Can’t wait to try their fried chicken and halloumi burger. The staff were so nice and friendly too
First time getting a pita Souvlaki, unfortunately was very cold, not even Luke warm and I sat and waited the 15 odd mins for it, drove the 2 mins home to eat straight away. Recommend to own a microwave if buying this

Ordered a halloumi pita with extra falafel via Uber Eats. The order took 55 minutes to even leave the shop. By the time it arrived, I was hungry. The pita itself tasted amazing, until about a few bites in, I noticed a meaty texture. I removed the large chunk of halloumi that was on top and surely enough, I found chicken pieces inside. I was shocked because I'm a vegetarian and I had accidentally consumed some of the chicken. My stomach was very sore for an hour afterwards.
Chicken burger is incredible.... For a place that doesn't specialize in fried chicken, to have one of the best fried chicken burgers in Wellington is pretty special
