South Westland Salmon - The Salmon Farm Cafe

Interesting entertainment while you enjoy a drink. Clean interior, but basic and nothing special. Limited food choices, more catered for take away.

Sorry but coffee burnt and not nice at all. To feed salmon had to throw bought salmon food off the deck by cafe doors. Were not allowed near the ponds - waste of time for us- not what were lead to believe on the brochure.

We traveled from Hawea on a Sunday morning to have lunch at the Cafe and found a very nice venue and staff, with beautiful food. Thanks again for your West coast hospitality.

Have to stop here‼We had great time feeding the Salmon.

Great spot to park up but bring your insect repellent! Would have loved to have stayed longer to try the Cafe but the sandflies were too much. Beautiful spot though and thanks for establishing the parking.

Very friendly service from the lady behind the counter. We had a smoked salmon and egg sandwich was devine. Wish I could have bought some to take away but it needs to be refrigerated which wasn't possible for us. Got to feed the salmon also, which was fun and inexpensive at only $1 a pottle

You have to try the apple and walnut cake, it's so good. Stopped in just before closing, they were happy to serve me.

A pretty beautiful pit stop/resting point from a long windy drive if it's a clear sunny day. Ordered a big breakfast and coffee. 30 minute wait. Food was really good tho, worth the money.
