Priya Indian Restaurant Hokitika

Everything here was great, top to bottom. The service was quick and excellent, priced well for the quality of the food. The specified spice levels of the dish were perfect as well. We wish we were here for more than one night to eat here again! Vegetarian options: Menu had plenty of vegetarian options

Went last night and had amazing service! Portion was great, couldn’t even get through half my meal, so got to take some home with me! Very tasty and perfectly spiced. Would highly recommend girl server went above and beyond for my table

They opened recently after an year of closure and that too for nothing good or exciting. Same old sweet taste with even smaller portions for the price we pay. Naans are very tiny, dry and chewy. I don't recommend. Hokitika can do with a better Indian restaurant.

One star because I got the food but it was not what we ordered. I ordered MILD and got MED-HOT, my partner ordered MED and got HOT HOT-xtraHOT ,,,couldn't eat it!! NO flavour. We've been to many many Indian restaurants around NZ and this is by-far the worst. Burnt chewy Naan ,,,not for us!!

Delicious indian food! Loved the fish curry and butter chicken. Naan was also very fresh. Food took a little long but it was worth the wait!

Good first experience but a surprise! I had dinner at Priya during my first ever trip to Hokitika. I had paneer kadhai served with complimentary rice. The preparation was good and the wait time was reasonable. For dessert, I asked for mango kulfi. I was surprised when the dish came. It was a piece of mango kulfi served in a bowl of mango juice आमरस and seasoned with pistachio flakes. I have eaten mango kulfi at a lot of places, but never kulfi served in thick mango juice!!

Great authentic indian food made by Indians. Well priced. Large portions. The chicken tikka was lean breast cubes served with fresh herb sauce. The vindaloo curry also very good. The reasturant setting is modest not fancy but it's all about good food and company. A real gem to eat at. 9.3 /10

5/5 . Travelling from Dunedin to Westport via te Anau and tried a few Indian restaurants on the way here. And here I found the best curry. The Curry was so authentic and yummy. Must try Sahi Paneer. Thanks.

Initially the guy said to wait they are busy. But later he served really well and food was very nice. They also serve free rice bowl with food. Customer service was good too

Very friendly personal. They offer free tap water. The food is very delicious and tasty. A lot of options for vegetarians people.
