Friendly helpful staff, we were picked up and dropped off at the airport after our trip, quickly and efficiently. I’m unable to leave a higher rating because of the car itself. It was fine mechanically however it was way past its use by date over 160,000km holes in the upholstery, floor mats warn through and wind coming through the door jam with all windows up. Informing people about the condition of the car prior to booking would help a lot with whether to rent or not
Hired a car from their Christchurch branch. Didn't wait long for the shuttle to arrive. Jessica was awesome. She gave a thorough breakdown of costs and contract. She made the experience so much easier. Will definitely look at using Snap Rentals again.
My first experience of Snap Rentals could not be faulted. The rental was really well priced, the service was great, the staff were helpful and the car was just what I needed. Airport pickup was efficient, obviously a little slower than an airport based provider but the cost benefit negated that and I was not in a hurry. Pre and Post communication was excellent. They come highly recommended!
Reasonable prices, car was older but no issues, great car, pick up after hours by shuttle from a site very close to the airport. Transit staff friendly and efficient. Was a little worried about the hire company not being at the airport however, no need to worry, great service.
Very good car rental. Efficient check-in and check-out procedures. Got the car as booked. Friendly and helpful staff. No hustling/imposing of extra insurances. Fair prices/conditions.
Reasonable service. Had to wait quite a while for a staff member to assist. Car was great, small and economical. Value for money. Could have been clearer re shuttle collection from the airport on arrival.
Ran into a slow pickup snag upon arrival and had no way to contact the business upon my arrival. However once I was finally able to connect the staff was very nice and helpful! Bella was a great driver getting us to and from airport area to their main rental storefront. Recommend despite difficulty on front end.
I rented a car snap rentals in Christchurch for 2 days and was happy with service and car. Returned the car to Snap rentals and was told from counter person that everything was good and all charges paid, she removed the $2000 insurance excess on my card, all good. Three days later a $5.15 charge from Snap appeared on my card, I emailed them and asked what this was, they replied and said it was a premium location fee and was charged on all rentals. I replied and said that I had read through their T & C s and nowhere was a premium location fee mentioned and could they please reply and tell me where it was in their contract. Also if it was a premium location fee why was it charged on ALL bookings obviously they consider every location a premium location and if it was charged on all bookings why was it not charged when booking done, why 3 days later. I requested a credit back to my card. It has been 4 days now and no reply so a big fat zero for customer relations and satisfaction with Snap, will not use them again.
Booked with snap through economy bookings was over charged $130 paid a deposit to economy booking and then was charged for deposit again from snap worked out to be a very expensive rental. Plus over 30 mins to wait at airport for shuttle very hard to get through to anyone customer services no help as keep stating same thing no matter what I say can’t get hold of economy bookings my advice pay the extra and go with one of the firms at airport Apex etc
Kinda surprised by the service, was really good! Car was good and clean. The pickup was timely and the driver was friendly. We were late back dropping the car off but that was ok cause the staff were nice and helped us and dropped us off. We found out half way through our trip that we had a chip in our windscreen. We told them when we dropped the car off and we checked through their photos and they saw it too so was all goods. Their phone service was a bit confusing and the two numbers just say to call the other number lol. But I was finally able to get through to a real person. Mystery car was a vits, was hoping for something nicer, but that’s ok. You get what you pay for.
