Welcome to Smart Dress Fabrics ! Our family business was established in 1995 in Mt Albert, Auckland. We stock a wide range of unique quality fabrics, haberdashery and NZ made lace curtains.

I'm a toy collector. I got gifted a few 1940s design 22cm Wonder Woman action figure's that's part sculpted part fabric. I love this dolls power stance and decided during covid to turn my sculpting painting to try to expand the set into more female characters like a 1940s Catwoman to a 1970s Celsius.... This fabric store is gold. My latest was Catwoman. The variety in the fabric store is brilliant...

I had a wonderful customer experience at Smart Dress Fabrics. The owners are very knowledgeable, kind, and want to make sure you get the best fabric, for the best price, for your needs! I knew very little about fabric and so was shopping around, not sure what would best suit my needs. I was almost going to go to one of the other more popular stores before my friend suggested I check this place out first. I'm so glad I did. There's a massive range at far more affordable prices than any of the other regular stores you might think of. That's not all, the fabric I got was of excellent quality. I can't wait to use it! I simply described to the owners what I was trying to do and they kindly showed me a variety of choices that would suit what I was after. Thanks so much!!!

Stopped by to get some fabric for my aunty my mum has been coming here for years and I can see why friendly helpful owners who were able to help me with what I needed today thank you guys for the amazing service They have a variety of different fabrics as well as all sorts of patterns / colours which makes it so hard to choose because they are all so beautiful pricing is definitely fair and reasonable I asked about rayon fabric which my sister had asked for and I had no idea what it was the owner was able to show me as they had some in stock parking is plentiful outside no problems with my visit
Even thought I did not enter inside the shop but they way smart Dress take care of their customer it is very great. I like that. The social distance is working very well.
Great variety of fabrics and accessories. Low prices and many specials. Best of all is the warm personalised service that the couple provide. They really know their products and range with advice on just how much fabric to buy, etc.
