Had 2 meal here. I found the food a little on salty side. The burger patties were quite hard, felt like it was out from a freezer. The service was pleasant though. Unlikely to eat similar meals again.
Superb coffee. The staff was really helpful and took special care to ensure that everyone's coffee was made as per their liking. I will certainly go back here when I am in this area.
Most disappointing Eggs Bene I've ever had. The potato rosti was burnt, the eggs were misformed and watery, the salmon was cheap and low quality, the hollandaise was distasteful, as were the pesto and relish. The presentation was average, and for how long we waited, it definitely wasn't worth $23.
A very disappointing breakfast. I dont usually complain but this was not up to par. We paid $61 for a drink each and two eggs benedict on saturday 11th march. The coffee machine wasn't working and didn't tell us until after we had already paid and sat down while we could hear them telling other guests that it wasn't working. They did however, refund the coffee. The Eggs benes were probably the worst we had ever had. I got a salmon one and the salmon looked like it had been in the fridge for far too long, it was not fresh at all. It also didn't state that it would be raw salmon either. There was mushy brown stuff on the salmon so I didn't eat any of it and moved it to the side. The flavor of the mint sauce was far too over powering and ruined the whole dish. The poached eggs may as well have been hard boiled as they were not runny at all and my husband's toast was burnt. It's very displeasing to be paying this amount for breakfast that doesn't have a quality that matchs up with the price they sell it for. The layout is very crammed and we had to squish behind other people enjoying their breakfasts to get out. Won't be going back unfortunately.

Food arrived promptly so did the coffee A little heavy-handed on the salt Good portion size Nicely presented This cafe has a lovely indoor outdoor flow Vegetarian options: Good variety of vegetarian options in the cabinet and on the menu they are happy to adjust the menu to suit customer Parking: Although there is no designated parking for this cafe there is parking in the side streets and paid parking in the local car park there is also a number of wheelchair accessible carparks close by Wheelchair accessibility: Flat and wide entrance way Easy access to tables Wheelchair accessible toilet
Very poor service, tried ordering a bunless chicken burger and informed a few minutes later the chicken wasn't good. Would of been ideal if there was a sign up letting customers know that no chicken was availableRe ordered the green bowl with Salmon. Came out with no Salmon. Ended up leaving due to the service, poor communication and the food taking a long time to arrive. It's a shame as Takapuna is well known for its eaterie's.
Disappointed with what I paid for this meal. Portion size for a full breakfast was only marginally bigger than the kid's size, but cost $16 more. Cake was old, dry and sticky. Had to send it back. Waste of money here.
The food presentation is good. But the botannix big breakfast was very slow and plain. I won’t going back again.
Best breakfast on the shore, very clean and tidy. Highly recommend. Toilet available
