Selwyn Domain

Selwyn Reserve has established trees for shade, grassed areas for exercise, recently rebuilt bathrooms, showers and changing sheds, plus a wonderful safe beach for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking, Mission Bay shops directly across the road offer seafood, ice cream, coffee and more. Even a cinema, the Berkeley.

A magnitic for visitors from near and far. This is the most famous and popular beach in Auckland. Always packed. You can try the eateries along Tamaki Drive. There is two toilets. There is also a playground. There is a police station at the intersection. Always lock your car and don't show any valuables.

Great recreation & picnic park, with views to Rangitoto Island, and a fountain

Sometimes quite busy but overall I really like the Mission Bay reserve. Lovely to have a grassy area away from cars that is close to the beach where your kids can play.

It was big and clean my children enjoy the place also the breathtaking views

Love coming here. Very clean, friendly people. Loads of parking. Great place to walk your dog or relax by the beach.

It's absolutely amazing, it's very picturesque and it's quite an amazing place summer picnics, and any amazing public activities like BBQs and any other fun events, and there are like shops, bars and restaurants and cafes across the road, and it also has public toilets and changing sheds for swimming at the beach in summer, and I would rate this place to be a 10 out of 10.

For a weather like this, there’s no where to go other than Selwyn domain. Stroll down the beach or a soak in the warm sea, a good place to bring the children. There’s also a children’s playground at the end.

Still nice to spend the day here.. Swimming in the fountain is now no longer allowed, the park has changed possibly for the better though they have downsized on the amount of swings they used to have. But can still have a good day at the park here with the kids.. cafes and restaurants across the road if you get hungry big spacious field for those who want to sit and relax, have a picnic play some ball, or volleyball. Beach to swim . Parking is always a mission so if you plan to come and want a park close by come early otherwise be prepared to be doing the search at snail pace for that parking spot.

Another great location in Auckland. Beach, green grass park with a fountain, cafes, restaurants etc. Get out and experience some more of what Auckland has to offer.
