Story

This building company was started as a response to a need in 2006- I needed a Company to put my work through, and I needed a vehicle to employ men who had done their time and needed to re intergrate. Yes I employed ex cons. I thought of calling us the Savage CONstruction company - but realized that this would backfire- especially with those who don't understand that rehabilitation can occur. We had 6 staff until 2008 when the Global Financial Recession kicked in. I retrenched and since 2009 have been operating with minimal work going through, but still ticking over. Now with the upturn in building, I am thinking of taking on a crew and getting back into the game. I would not necessarily start with ex cons but the ethos of giving guys with a record a chance will still feature. Of course the vetting of staff will still be done with rigor. Client safety is at the forefront.
