Purua children seek stories and memories of the Purua Hall - it's construction, changes over time, usage, events, sports, community groups, the people ...
The Purua School children are studying their local community hall - from the milling of the local timber for it's construction, to it's present day form and uses. They'd love to hear your memories of the hall and the events you attended, be they sporting, family, school, or a special community gathering. Photos would be wonderful, and please give us an idea of approximately which years you're recalling. Following the example of Mary Kelleher, an author and fabric artist, who tutored the children earlier in the year, the children will create a fabric mural and story, and present research based on their discoveries.
