In Coromandel, Santa Maria Pizza Italiana is a must-visit eatery. We stopped by for a meal and were blown away—it was easily the best pizza I've had in recent times. You can really taste the difference with the authentic firewood cooking and freshly handmade dough. It’s run by a wonderful couple, which adds a great personal touch to the experience. Don't miss this gem!
Better than most of the pizzas in NZ but for an Italian pizza I’m not impressed. I wish they put more toppings and the crust to be more Neapolitan style. Way to much salad on mine and we didn’t understand the pistachio crumbles on my partners one. Also the mozzarella has almost no taste... You can do better Giacomo
Great little pizza place we visited before going to the Cathedral Cove beach. They have a proper pizza oven, love the flavours and pizza base!
Really good pizza. Although I would’ve liked a bit more topping for the price but can’t complain really because it was tasty. The Service was also very good.
My friend and I were recently driving back from Cathedral Cove to Auckland when we stumbled upon this beautiful spot and decided to give the Woodfire Pizza place a try. It turned out to be the best woodfire pizza we’ve ever had—absolutely worth the stop! The pizza was made fresh, ready in no time, and the crust was just perfect.nn10/10, highly recommend!
