OMG!!!! The best Burger Place in NZ, no joke. You guys doing a great job. Burger and fries top notch. I do recommend this place for travelers, must do when you’re around. Cheap considering the amount and quality of food!
Damn these are good burgers! The whole family loves Johnny's in Tairua, from the burgers, chips, tacos, wings and the berry ice creams in summer....who knew how good a passionfruit ice cream was!!nnThe burgers are out the gate yum, some of the best I've ever had.nnThis crew know what they're doing.nnPlease make the cheesecakes again haha!!
$19.50 for what can only be described as a complete rip-off of a single serve fish and chips. The fish barely resembled fish at all — tiny, disappointing pieces that felt more like scraps than an actual meal. For that price, I expected proper portions of decent fish, not the exact opposite.nnExtremely unimpressed. I would have complained in person if we could have gone back this evening.nnThe only saving grace: the fruit ice cream I had the day before was generous in size and genuinely delicious — unfortunately, that was the highlight, not the main event.
If you love burgers and tacos you'll love Johnny's at Tairua. Their burgers and tacos weren't shy and were full of size and flavour! The burgers were staked and tacos were filled well. Buns were soft, patties were moist, and the variety was plenty to choose from. Fries are fresh, crispy, and seasoned well.
Johnny's is by far one of the best burger & taco joints I've ever encountered! We loved it so much, we went three times during our one week stay in Tairua! The burgers and tacos are delicious, some of the best I've ever had. The buttermilk chicken was cooked to perfection; crispy, moist, and packed full of flavour. I would rate both the chicken and the chips skinny fries as the best I've ever eaten. Don't hesitate to visit Johnny's Tairua for your next burger/taco fix!
