Sal Rose

We had a large group to celebrate a birthday, including kids. Sal Rose function room was perfect for our group, the wait staff was super friendly, especially with the kids. The service was fast for a group that size and the food was delicious. Kid-friendliness: The staff was extremelly feiendly with our kids.

Five star for service! The food was good, it gets the thumbs up from my grandson so must have been good . But I would have given the food alone Couple of good options in the vegetarian pizza but not much to choose from if you were hungry for pasta. Still was a nice meal and not too expensive.

Returned after 5 years and still the same. Casual and cosy. Pleasant staff. Delicious dinner. Menu had changed slightly. Spaghetti meatballs no longer on menu.

We had an amazing family birthday dinner here. The food was fantastic with lots of delicious gluten free options, the service was phenomenal second to none and the wine suggestions were perfect. Going the extra mile and birthday-afying the birthday boy's dessert was unexpected and very much appreciated.Food: 5/5

Wow what an amazing atmosphere. Food was on point and staff looked after us to the highest order. 25 of us for dinner and customer serivce didnt falter. Beautiful food. So good.

Great food one of my favourite Italian restaurant. We had fish of the day kind fish and squid. I recon they should provide some training to the waitress to improve their customer service.

Appalled from start to finish. Friends have dined here over the years and have noted the great cocktails ,food, service and atmosphere. Unfortunately the experience I had here recently was rather the opposite. Espresso Martinis were served improperly in a wine glass. The taste was as good as it looked. I'm in belief it was an instant coffee with a dash of vodka. It was the most watered down, milkshake like cocktail I've tasted. Extremely disappointed considering this is a central Auckland restaurant with central Auckland prices. On the note of prices, my table requested a cake... which we later found out each individual plate was charged an extra $4.90 for half a scoop of ice cream. A charge that wasn't implied when suggested by the owner, David. For a restaurant that claims to be serving genuine Italian food, it was extremely below average. I can't say that I personally, will be dining here again; a shame for a small business that could provide plenty of potential.

I came for Dinner last with two friends and even though we had to wait for a Table my bad in that I maybe should of booked as it was busy for Sunday the Service and the food was delicious as it always is here. We were checked in on to ask how we liked the food as well. The Manager kept Apologising for the wait but as we were up at the Bar didn't mind too much and it was only around 20minutes wait anyway. As we were leaving the Manager offered us a wee drink of Lemoncelo Liqueur which was a nice touch for waiting. All in all a very positive experience with Service top notch as always.
