Reading Cinemas The Palms is Christchurch City's First Class 8 screen cinema complex. The cinemas feature wall to wall screens, digital sound, stadium seating, luxury armchair comfort, first release movies and value packed candy bar deals.

Used the Titan luxe cinema at the palms. Very, very good. Great seats, excellent sounds and picture. Only $2 more than a regular cinema room and when watching a 3 hour movie you get giant screen, sub bass vibrating electrically adjustable seats for an extra 66cents an hour, I mean, it's a no brainer. Will definitely go back again.
I went to watch Thor: Love and Thunder, the cinema wasn't busy, it was very clean, and the staff were very friendly. The cinema we had had recliner chairs and a side table to place our food, with the drink holder in the arm. I would recommend Reading Cinema.
The cinema was the Premium one Cinema 4 however the three star rating is due to the fact the cinema itself was pitch black and we could not see our seats let alone get to them. There was a group of people with special needs including a pregnant woman and elderly woman who needed assistance. This was set to be a health and safety issue if all of us movie patrons to the Elvis film hadn't taken our phones out and used their torch screen functions to light the way for everyone. Ironically the lights and sound came on when the Previews were set to start. The film and sound quality was absolutely amazing and the seats were comfortable and easy to relax and enjoy a great movie with lots of space between each person and each row, making the overall premium experience worth going to. Alot of that was due to the Film itself being an absolute masterpiece of emotion, history in recreation and acting so superb you felt you were there. We cried at the end. Bravo Austin Butler and Tom Hanks did a fine job. Second to none
Titan cinemas are great value, reclining and drink trays make for way more enjoyable experience.
Good cenima, big comfy seats in some cenimas. The standard seats are also a reasonable size. Always parking avaliable within a reasonable distance of the cenima. Food is, as to be expected, overpriced. But they don't seem to care if you take your own food into the cenima; McDonald's, sushi, KFC, no problems so far.

Wee bit pricey on side for popcorn,drinks and ice cream... but otherwise enjoyable place kids love the upgraded cinema with chaurs with buttons too relax !
Was very comfortable. Enjoyed it
I watched supersets and it was fun and good but I got a headache from how loud it was
