Yum! Everything we had here was delicious and flavorful, and they were generous portions too. Such a cute little old historic post office with a fireplace and stone walls. They have more seating in the bright sunlit back room and a grassy outdoor area with tables for when it's warmer weather. We had the hearty seafood chowder double yum!, the scrumptious crepes, the full Postie breakfast, the eggs benedict with creamy mushrooms, tea, coffee and the iced chocolate which was quite the sweet treat! Staff were friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back for more.
We stopped here for lunch after riding the Lake Dunstan trail from Cromwell. Super cute place, we sat out back in the garden. We told them we were a little rushed as we had a shuttle coming to take us back to Cromwell. Food arrived quickly and was soooo good. My wife loved the Cajun chicken tacos, and I had the best seafood chowder I’ve ever had. Mmmm

Absolutely outstanding service from the staff, welcoming, friendly & polite, even after being under the pump all day with an event that we were part of great choice of items on the menu, something for everyone, we had starters of chips so crispy bread with spreads which was delish, then mains were a mix of Bento Box's, Burgers, Poston Bowl and Steak, eggs and chips, all of them were top notch, best dining out we have had in 15+ years of living in Central Otago. Arrived for dinner without a booking but the manager or owner? was able fit us in even though they were quite busy.nAll the staff we encountered were super friendly and the food was amazing. We had seafood chowder and venison Rogan Josh. Highly recommend having a meal here when you're in town.
