Porterhouse Grill Finest Gourmet Steak in Auckland

Decided to come to Porterhouse in the spur of the moment for lunch. Our server, Dominique was so friendly, happy and accommodating. We ordered seafood chowder, wagu sliders, scotch fillet with mushroom sauce, fries & salad. Our drinks arrived quickly, followed by our meals. Chowder was average, sliders were delicious with a crunch from the pickles. Steak was cooked well, mushroom sauce was flavourful.nHot chips were crunchy and the salad was average. It was nice and clean in the restaurant with a good flow of customers coming in.

Had our Valentine's Date Night at Porterhouse. It was lovely. Servers were great, food was outstanding and the atmosphere was awesome.

The food was excellent. Scallops were fresh and done perfectly. Buttery and melt in your mouth. My prime rib had great flavour in the seasoning, a tad underdone from my med-rare request but only just. I did not like the pepper sauce that came with it but the flavour of the steak on it's own was excellent. My partner had the cheddarmelt with a salad and enjoyed it. She really enjoyed the vinaigrette on the salad, said it was zesty which helped cut through the richness of the cheddarmelt. For desserts, we had the chocolate berry cake and lemon tart. The tart crust was really hard and the tart was bitter in some spots but other than that it was really good.nnStaff are friendly, though you do have to call them over if you need something, they do not follow up.nnThe only real negative I'd say was my partner pricked her finger on an exposed nail under her chair.

Steak cooked and seasoned very well. Cheese garlic bread moorish. Sides great. Staff were helpful. All round lovely meal experience.

It was not a busy day of the resto. We were well attended by the staffs. Very nice food. Highly recommended
