Poppies Kindergarten

We are very happy with Poppies Kindergarten! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff here truly cares about the well-being and development of each child. My child loves the engaging activities and has grown so much socially. The facilities are clean, safe, and conducive to learning through play. Communication with parents is excellent, I always feel informed about my child's progress and any upcoming events. Highly recommend for a great early childhood education experience!

This is a very good kindergarten, there is an outdoor sandpit and various play equipment. Upstairs is an indoor activity space with a lot of play equipment, the children often play together under the guidance of the teacher. Poppies also often organises themed activities and invites parents to participate in the interaction. The teachers are very responsible and patient with the children and communicate with parents about their children well. My daughter is very well taken care of here and she loves it.

We had to move our daughter from a daycare—after an incident—to Poppies less than 4 months before starting school. The professionalism, care, and the methods used at Poppies quickly comforted our daughter and her happiness and behaviour improved immensely. The whole team showed how much they cared about our daughter and when she first started they all looked out for her. When she needed additional attention and care, she was never left alone.nnThe transition to school classes mirror primary school classes and methods so our daughter could fully experience what school would be like. By the time she started school, she was so excited and confident.nnTo go from such a low to the perfect start to school, it's been such a relief. I can't recommend Poppies enough.

Our 4 year old daughter just joined Poppies, and she loves every single days. The teachers are so nice and sweet, the environment is amazing and the most important thing to us that the class is super clean and the toys are hygiene

We graduated today, but the wonderful experience at Poppies will always stay with us.nI still remember the first time we came to Poppies. Rhiannon, the principal, explained the facilities and daily activities in great detail and got my boy involved. He was a bit sensitive and shy because we just moved to NZ and his English was not very good then. Now he has made big progress and is no longer shy. From a quiet child, he became very active and involved in every activity.nBefore officially entering the kindergarten, several experiences will be arranged to help children adapt to the schedule of kindergarten. If the weather is good, the teacher will take the children out for a walk every week to learn about nature and the nearby parks and communities. There is also a 'transition to school' course to help children adapt to primary school.nThank God we found such a good kindy and we really enjoyed the time at Poppies. Rhiannan is a very responsible principal, Head Teacher Tania leads an excellent team of teachers, and Brooke, Kitty, Vanessa, and Michelle all really love children. If you're looking for a friendly, multi-cultural kindy, I highly recommend the Poppies.
