ACG Parnell College

I don’t understand why people are rating this school so harshly, therefore I shall write my own review.nnI love ACG Parnell. It is the best school I have ever been to. It has helped me more than any other school could have.nnI was simply a stupid person who got terrible grades all the time. My first cyclic test? I was four percent away from failing. But now, my most recent cyclic test? 93%. And that, is the wonders of ACG Parnell. My teachers have always been knowledgeable about the subjects, actually being helpful when necessary. Clearly everyone else who decided to write a review has really had terrible teachers, and truly I feel bad for them. I mean, I have had terrible teachers…once or twice. However, when I say terrible they were just incredibly mean. They did teach the curriculum.nnI love the amounts of clubs, and I love getting involved with the school. However, I am still only in middle school. It may get worse by senior school. So I am simply going to keep in mind what these other reviews have said.

The school isn't recommended because it's unfair to students. If a student opts out for a year, they lose their place and cannot return even if there are available spots. Further applications are disregarded based solely on the student's name, with no reasons or explanations given. It's impossible to contact the principal directly as everything goes through the application manager. Although it's a top school in Auckland, it treats students very poorly.

Teachers don't care about your learning and are very disrespectful. Many teachers start to go off track 90% of the time during the middle of lessons and students are taught to only care about grades which is very unhealthy.

It is astounding that one of the worst schools in Aotearoa New Zealand is still open today, as the shaky three pillars that ACG Parnell stands on are money, deception and denial.nnACG Parnell continues to deceive parents and students with their exaggerated achievements, when in fact, the school has not had any notable graduates in recent years, completely cancelled IB Diploma, and is filled with misinformed vapers and underage relationship scandals.nnBlatant lies about costs of student resources and trips are the least of the school's problems. Every good IB and Cambridge teacher has left ACG Parnell, and the 'teachers' who remain have very little educational expertise in academic subjects, but are forced to teach several subjects that they have no knowledge of.nnWhatever reasons for attending this school are remnants of ACG Parnell's past glory days between 2019 and 2022, which is a very short legacy made positive thanks to promising AIC students moving into the school due to their previous school shutting down because of the pandemic.nnThere is no shape or form of any future to be found at this institution.
