Great Korean place for groups or even a hearty date for two.nThere's lots of options and food is always good.nLunch & dinner menu are different.nIf you prefer a quiet meal, lunch would be best or a weekday dinner. Their Fridays & Saturdays are always busy- party, fun vibes, so best to get a reservation.
Spoiler Alert!nnThis place has to be one of the best Korean Restaurants I have been to here in New Zealand.nnThe pork was melt in your mouth tender and the butter beef was just delicious.nnThe service was next level and fast. No mucking around waiting for service.nnIt might be a tad much for 2 people but if you have more friends, you'll be able to explore their fantastic menu.nnCan't wait for my next trip for the Chicken Wings
Actually really good food! I've frequented the city one for years. First time at the Albany one and it really didn't disappoint. Everything was cooked really well. Seafood pancake, kimchi stew, fried chicken, cold noodles all delicious.
Spicy pork bone soup was really good, tasty soup. The new fried chicken was ok - still prefer the almond crunchy chicken. The truffle ramen was mid, can’t really taste the truffle. Service was really good. Drinks r also good
Pocha, the popular Korean restaurant I have visited many times in Chancery, has opened a new branch in Albany. My partner, friends, and I recently went there for a big dinner featuring famous Korean dishes.nnWe ordered a variety of dishes to share: the popular Korean Army Soup, two plates of fried chicken, a spicy Korean rice cake plate, and a few rice bowls. The portions were enough for the six of us and were absolutely delicious, especially the fried chicken. We added soft tofu to the soup, but it made it too mild for our taste, so we'll skip the tofu next time. Overall, we loved the soup.nnDespite the restaurant being nearly full, the staff was kind and provided excellent service. The lively atmosphere added to the experience, and I loved the vibe and feel of the place.
