Not sure if they are selling old meat but I bought beef yesterday and it had the use by date as 10th April, same day I bought it. By the time I got home I didn't have enough time to cook so I left them in the fridge and took it out the next day only to see some meat pieces were very brown. They didn't smell fresh either. I'm not sure what to do but would like to know if someone's experienced this before!
Pita House, is a truly wonderful shop; just like it's sister business in Pakuranga. Totally recommended for Lebanese and Syrian and Turkish supplies. Authentic, genuine and value driven supplies. Very good imported foods of great quality. The best olive oil soap in New Zealand is sold here.

Great choice of middle eastern food. Friendly staff
The heart of this establishment is a wood fired bread oven. The products cooked in this oven seem to vary with the baker team on duty. A range of flat breads with different fillings or coatings come out of the oven and you need to go back if they aren't baking your favourite. I love taking the big flat breads home, ask the baker to wrap one in paper straight out of the oven rather than in a plastic bag. The shop also has a nice little butchery a whole sheep for $150 and a big range of middle eastern preserves, herbs, sweets and other cooking products
Great and convenient store location, products and offers. Variety of stuff, from raw meat to bakeries and groceries. All your middle eastern or oriental food needs and above all a great fantastic helpful staff
Such a diverse range of middle eastern food and products. Fresh bread, wrap bread, kebab, samosas, olives, meat, sweets, beans, spices and lots more. Good customer service on top. Well recommended place for shopping. Plenty of parking is available on the spot too.
Jan 2020: The price on the wraps are good and fresh but I feel the customer service could be much better. Why have pizza on the menu when it's not all day? You could at least state it on the or is it because I am not from the same race? A few locals share the same opinion. Feb 2020: purchased 6 packets of wholemeal wraps for a family picnic just to get all the way to the beach to discover they are all expired!!
