Hi all,nI would like to share an honest feedback from pinewood hotel that we stayed for 1 night only. We stayed from 8.30pm to 8am.n1. Room had mould odour on entry at 8pm.n2. Water jug inside has black rust , photo taken for proof, we were unable to contact them at the same time because we reached at 0830pm and there were no one at reception.nn3. There is a condition from them that, if we leave dishes or water glass wet post use or without drying, they will charge us extra $20, which I found really upsetting. If you want extra $20 charge then could you please consider to supply $5 tissue box to dry wet glass.
After booking room via telephone enquiry a informative and polite owner gave details on a room suitable for our stay. Parking was easy right outside our room, we were given details of eateries and of course the famous Farlie Pie shop. It was cold outside but on entering our room is was nice and warm. The room is well equipped with everything we needed. Comfortable and spacious room. After travelling for most of the day, the bed was so comfortable had no trouble sleeping. The room was spotless and the owners took great pride ensuring our stay was enjoyable and informative on all tourist attractions in Farlie and other townships including Timaru and Mount cook a short drive from Farlie. Would highly recommend this Motel.
It is a beautiful place with warm rooms, comfortable beds, and nice service. My family and I enjoyed every day there. Thank you so much!
I took my grandson and his partner on a mini tiki tour of the lower and mid South Island. We had 1 night booked at this motel × 2 units. My unit was ok, but when my grandson and his partner pulled the bedding down to get into bed they encountered blood spattered wrinkled sheets, which we do have photos of. I spoke to the lady at reception and showed her the sheets. The customer service we received from the woman behind the desk was dismissive and rude. I asked for a refund for this room. She said they would have to do an internal investigation. We left the motel as there was not going to be a resolution that day. I have been in email contact with the motel and after 8 days of still no resolution and no contact from them at all in the last 5 days clearly there will be no resolution. AVOID THIS MOTEL, NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!
Very reasonably priced rooms. Also, very clean and tidy and walking distance to Fairlie shopping area.
