The rooms are quite small, but they have kitchenware and bathroom amenities. There's no stove. The larger room has a comfortable bed, while the smaller room has a small single bed. It might feel a bit cramped for four people, but it's livable. The surrounding area is nice, and the location is good, within walking distance of shops.
Great place. Rooms are super clean and new. Has your own parking for each room. Great service. Close to businesses and food. Highly recommend. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
We had booked one of the backpacker rooms, unbeknownst to us that those had shared bathrooms, and were all facing West, which meant they get the afternoon sun and without any aircon, the rooms are WARM. It takes a few hours into after sunset for the rooms to feel remotely comfortable. We opted to take the fan that was in the room, prop open the fridge, and blow the somewhat cool fridge air into the rest of the room. This helped cool down the room a wee bit.nnThankfully, the staff leave the doors open to help cool the room, but it's still very warm. Although there are signs to keep the shared bathroom doors closed to keep the insects out...nnYes, it's cheaper than anything in Lake Tekapo... if you've been living in a camper/rv, it's a nice change. If you've been staying in motels/hotels, it might be a hard sell.nnOr just avoid the backpacker rooms.
Every detail is thought of! If you’re looking for a great stop for a sleep or several nights in Fairlie, this is it! The attention to detail is second to none.nThe family room is perfect for those with kids - there’s board games, toys, a huge indoor space and a private, fenced backyard! Yes!! A yard! With more games, dining area and a deck for lounging. This is a two minute walk to the incredibly delicious Fairlie Bakery and 10 minutes drive to Silversteeam hotel for an awesome, family friendly dinner & drinks.nThe extra bonus of continental breakfast options was such a treat! There was fresh fruit, jam packets & butter in the fridge, cereal and a generous tea & coffee sachet assortment. The water pressure was INCREDIBLE too! The beds were comfy, the rooms clean and a free car park were just the start. THANK YOU for a great stay!
Love it, this is the best Motel of my New Zealand trip so far.nThe room is newly renovated.nHighly recommend to stay, if you have lake Tekapo trip. Worth to drive a bit.
