This cafe is situated in downtown Porirua and offers a variety of food - extended what an average cafe offers.nThe service was ok, not overwhelming, friendly, but friendly.nThe liver pate we had was good, not great, but also not bad.nOverall, an average ranking.
Great experience with a group of folks.nSpacious and very welcoming staff, added to some delicious menu items.
Had breakfast there. Got eggs on toast and the full breakfast then shared what we had. $56 for 2 coffees 2 breakfasts. Everything was good. We would go back. The pies in the cabinet looked good. 13 dollars but very big so keen to try one of those next time
A group of us had brunch there. There were a lot of people in the cafe so it had a good atmosphere. The service though is not great. No one came up to our table to take our order so every time I needed a waitress I had to get up and find someone to get their attention. Very slack. A table of customers should not be expected to have to go up to the counter to order food and the waitresses should be going around the tables to check on customers. Customer service could be improved if the young waitering staff were properly trained.nnIt took a while for our food to be served and then 3 of our meals arrived about 10 min after the first lot of meals.nThe food was nice and tasty. I had the smashed avo with beetroot hummus and 2 poached eggs. The multigrain toast could've been a bit more chunky and there could've been more smashed avo, but overall the meal was tasty.nThe coffee was good.
Best cafe by far in Porirua. Eaten here multiple times and always get THE BEST results. Staff super friendly and quick to serve/seat you - ensuring you get ur meals/drinks on time and leave before the ever growing queue that lines up. I'm sure out of towers love this joint to. Food - delicious! Breakfast menu is full with choices and flavors that my kids love. The food cabinet - an array of great selections. I honestly can't fault Peppermill for anything other than trying to get in some days due to always being full. You guys should be proud of the service, hospitality you deliver thank u so much! we are always satisfied and happy whenever we dine in here. Highly recommend.
