Absolutely loved my brunch at Peppermill Café, Porirua! nnAs a vegetarian, I’m always on the hunt for places that offer more than just the usual options and Peppermill truly surprised me! I ordered the beetroot hummus and avocado toast on multigrain bread served with a fresh side salad and honestly, it was both healthy and incredibly filling. Every bite had that perfect balance of crunch and creaminess.nnTheir mocha was a complete winner too. rich, smooth, and topped with the cutest teddy-face art I almost didn’t want to ruin it!. The coffee tasted as good as it looked, easily one of the best I’ve had in Wellington.nnThe staff were so kind and welcoming, and the café had such a cosy, relaxed vibe, perfect for a long, lazy brunch. I ended up sitting for over an hour just soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying my food.nnAnd oh! their freshly made triple chocolate mousse was an absolute dream! So light, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, definitely worth saving space for dessert.nnIf you’re looking for a vegetarian-friendly spot that does justice to flavour, presentation, and good vibes Peppermill Café is your go-to! nHighly recommended for brunch, lunch, or just a great cup of coffee.
Sunday but lots of things on in Porirua. Already missed out at one eaterie. Peppermill having to cope with large numbers. Well handled and staff could not have been more cooperative. Friendly bunch.nSimple dish of fried eggs on multigrain. Cooked to perfection and nicely spiced.nGot to taste a superb omelette made with gruyere cheese. Well cooked and folded. Very substantial dish.nPeppermill was once a restaurant with good but limited choices. The current menu both for brunch and dinner is now very estimable will a few exotic options. A most pleasant surprise. Customers extremely well looked after. Cake/dessert selection top hole.
I recently visited this coffee shop, and it was an okay experience overall. The coffee itself was decent, but it wouldn't be my first choice if I was looking for a quick takeaway. I felt a little awkward while waiting for my order. There were quite a few people seated in the tables very near the counter. which made it a bit challenging to navigate and stand comfortably. I imagine it can get very busy at peak times, which might explain the seating situation. Is a large cafe and open layout but felt very cluttered around the counter, the take away customers probably aren't priority. Despite this, the staff were cheerful and friendly.
Seated away from windows, very dark.nGood atmosphere, seems popular.nCoffee not the greatest so, won't go again. Eggs bene hard, spinach juice covered plate. Took some cakes away, they were great.
Absolutely loved my experience at Peppermill Café! The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Every dish was full of flavour and made with care. The service was equally impressive — warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear the staff take pride in what they do. A perfect spot for a relaxed meal with great vibes. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!
