Wonderful haven of tastiness! Awesome fluffy Dutch Omelette that was nearly consumed before I took a photo!
Lively/friendly servers made us feel welcome. Good music is at just the right volume to carry over the buzz of conversation.nFood so close to being great, e.g. perfect cheese scone and very good cabinet selection. But meals didn’t impress us as much, e.g. Lemon & Caper Fish is tasty with citrus sauce and fresh salad - great gluten-free or low-carb option but not filling enough.nOverall 5* again.
Every element of my main meal were all store bought so not impressed for the price. Custard square was really nice though. Servers were nice. Music was a little too loud for my personal liking.
My friend ordered a cabinet item and it arrived cold after a lengthy wait banana bread lol. She asked for it to be reheated and the lady poked the bread to ensure it was actually cold. She heated it up and then poked it again to ensure it was hot.. I asked for a new one because she had been handling cash and she then got me a new one and poked it for a third time. Lol
Went here on my first trip to Porirua and returned here on my following trip!nnThe kai is great, the staff are friendly and the music is good with either old school soul or homely island/Māori beats.
