PAK'nSAVE Tauriko

A lot of items we wanted were out of stock when we visited, in all fairness it was NY's eve. But i feel like a supermarket should be aware of times of year and be prepared. Staple items like milk and certain fruits and veges should be fully stocked, not just have the small expensive range available.

i came to Pak’nSave to buy wine and while shopping I accidentally bumped into a friend!At the time of billing she was just standing with me while I was using the self-checkout !!! she was not buying alcohol at all*** When approval was required I showed my valid ID and instead of accepting it the staff insisted that my friend also show her ID even though she was only there to grab her own items and had nothing to do with my purchase!! She didn’t have her ID with her and because of that I was refused the purchase entirely..nThis felt unnecessary embarrassing and extremely frustrating! I understand ID checks but refusing a sale even after the actual buyer provides valid ID just because someone else is nearby makes no sense! Customers shouldn’t be punished for simply standing next to someone... Definitely not happy with this experience

I don’t know why but this is the only Supermarket where I get electric shocks of the trolleys, shelves etc every time, and doesn’t matter what shoes or clothes as I have tried different ones. Even the checkout lady said a lot of people do, the last stock was a big one from the checkout, really puts me off going back and even more so when the staff know it’s happening.

Staff are generally quite nice and helpful. Fish counter staff varies. Products - good variety and ok prices. Same frustration as another reviewer re lack of paper bags for fruit and veg.

I enjoy shopping at this PAK'nSAVE. It's the closest to where I live and it is located in an area where there are many other stores like hair salons, optometrists, The Warehouse, places to eat and fuel stations so it is very convenient if you are there for more than just your weekly food stop.
