My sister is visiting the country as a tourist, went shopping today at this store and was asked to have her bag checked. I asked the reason for the manager, and they could NOT provide any information about their action. They said it was a random check they do with clients. Can't believe that she has been treated like this, with no reason. I will share this as much as possible to see if this store treats clients with more respect.
Between 2007 and 2011, I worked at Pak’nSave as a Self-Checkout Supervisor. Our core focus was always to prioritise customers’ needs, welcoming them with a smile rather than treating them as “criminals”! I was appalled to hear that this store is now involved in discriminatory practices—my jaw dropped in disbelief! Doesn’t this tarnish the reputation of our beautiful Papamoa? Has the hiring process become so lenient? Where is the professionalism?
Great store, good prices. Only thing that annoys me is when all reps are in store at the same time & there are also staff doing order picking and you struggle to get to the shelves because the reps are in the way & so far. Most of them don’t move for customers to get items off the shelves. I’ve left a few times and headed to countdown to get items I couldn’t get to at PAK’nSAVE because the reps ignore you standing there waiting. Otherwise it’s good. Good range on offer. Good competition for countdown aka woolworths. Clean tidy. Easy parking.
“This is not China”,nCongratulation! You and your supreme staff have all won a one way ticket to boat all the way back to your Europe potato digging lala land, if ya can pay for your american port fee, Panama Canal use charge, and food charge, by cash or eftpos only, no fancy stuff allowed, according to your rules. And don’t forget, y’all can’t just free fishing as u ain’t licensed for it. But no worries, whites will help whites. Y’all will be just fine. Just remember, don’t come back to pacific, ever, again
This supermarket has serious issues with racial discrimination. The staff clearly need better training. I cannot believe that a customer, simply shopping, would be treated in such a manner. It is truly disgraceful.
