I have only written a review for one other supermarket and I'm writing this for the same reason, exceptional customer service. I visited this store twice during my stay in Papamoa and got the same staff member at checkout. She was friendly, efficient and exceptionally kind. She joked about needing to see my drivers licence in order to buy alcohol and remembered me on my return visit. I'm old enough to be her great great grandparent and the humour made me smile. A tiny bit of conversation can make a person's day.

I am a local resident living nearby and regularly shop at this Pak’nSave. Unfortunately, I’ve had repeated unpleasant experiences with one young female cashier.nnI have checked out at her counter three times, and each time she did not greet me. Even when I greeted her first, she did not respond. On every occasion, she lectured me about how to place items on the conveyor belt, in a tone that felt unnecessary and condescending.nnWhen I said “thank you” before leaving, she deliberately turned her head away without responding. What made it even more uncomfortable was that she immediately greeted the next customer warmly and politely.nnAs a regular customer, this treatment was disappointing and confusing. I expect the same basic level of courtesy given to others. I hope management can provide additional training to ensure all customers are treated respectfully and equally. I sincerely hope this is not related to racial bias, but the repeated difference in treatment was hard to ignore.

Always a pleasure to shop at Papamoa Pak'nSave! Shop is bright, light and clean! Staff are always at hand and helpful. Used to be my weekly shopping store, sadly I moved to Rotorua.

With food prices going up in NZ, it’s nice to have a supermarket where you are able to get some foods at a cheaper price compared to elsewhere. The only thing we noticed that’s changed is that the fuel vouchers you receive is limited to being used at that specific pak n save location

Waited in the fuel line for half an hour tonight only to be told no I cannot put fuel in at 20:55. I was literally next in line to get fuel and if granted the time to be do fuel till 21:00 which I believe is your closing time I would have been able to fill up and be on my way.nnDisappointed. NPD next time to lose out on $2 saving and save a ton of time.
