Great store, good prices. Only thing that annoys me is when all reps are in store at the same time & there are also staff doing order picking and you struggle to get to the shelves because the reps are in the way & so far. Most of them don’t move for customers to get items off the shelves. I’ve left a few times and headed to countdown to get items I couldn’t get to at PAK’nSAVE because the reps ignore you standing there waiting. Otherwise it’s good. Good range on offer. Good competition for countdown aka woolworths. Clean tidy. Easy parking.
Store is cutting costs but still raking it in, no more fresh fish or deli counters, lacks appeal of a nicely presented display of produce, it's all plastic containers and cling film. Miss chatting with staff. Wouldn't be so bad if that reflected in the cost of food but prices are still expensive. Makes your shopping experience more painful than needs to be. Thank goodness for the odd cheerful chatty checkout staff member. They deserve a pay rise, only human or staff interaction you get.
THE WORST SUPERMARKET IN NEW ZEALAND.nExtremely messy ! Empty shelves everywhere ! Extremely unorganized ! Heaps of overpriced items ! Extremely poor customer service ! Some items aren't put back on the shelves for days even if you can see them available on the overhead shelves ! Prices at checkout do not match labelled prices in store you tell them, come back days later and same problem occurs on the same items ! Some extraordinarily rude staff straight-up telling you off because they want the trolley positioned a special way but they could ask politely instead few staff are lovely though !nI only go because I live next to it the management knows that but every time I need to go to Tauranga or Tauriko, I make sure to shop at these other Pak'n'save as they are managed properly.nI can't wait for more competition to enter the NZ market to break this terrible duopole FoodStuffs + Woolworths that costs Kiwi families 100s of dollars every year over abusive pricing that should have been monitored and fought properly by the authorities long ago.nIt just takes a few travels overseas to see how bad the situation is.
Not too bad if you go in, although fresh produce is often sad, but Click and Collect service is terrible. Can't substitute an item that is 19 cents dearer than my original order. I love the way Countdown go out of their way to provide customer service. Have learnt my lesson now. Have had nothing but bad experiences with Papamoa Click and Collect. Cameron Road is much better.
No cabbage and no sea food dip ,I have been shopping at this store since I came to Papamoa .Always short of something ??? in my list ,full of trolleys waiting to be unloaded I think I will go to Cameron Road the Pak n Save there seem to be well organized.
