Orewa Beach Holiday Park

What a great location, right on the beach and good walking to the local village. We were in a camper van with our two small dogs, working in the area. We actually extended our stay and booked again on way back from Whangarei as staff were just so nice and super helpful. Sure, park may be a bit tired but didn’t damper our downtime after a busy week prior.

Thank you so much Rebecca for resolving the booking issues that were not your doing. I REALLY appreciate your efforts & we just loved the excellent site you found for us. Thanks again, we had a wonderful stay.

Just far enough outside of Auckland to feel like you are on holiday, what a beautiful spot with lots to do for the kids. Super friendly and helpful staff, amazing people at the camp ground and good amenities. Close to Matakana and Goat Island for day trips, totally recommend!

I’m not going to lie when I first came into the campsite I thought this is cute and nice.We then went to find our cabin and let me just say we got one of the premium units and they need some SERIOUS MAINTENANCE.The room have a gross damp smell the bathroom was clean but clearly needed a coat of paint. The campground is in a great location.Sadly it’s very run down.

The only great thing is the location. The view over the bay is gorgeous, lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, close to a supermarket. Around half an hour drive to CBD if lucky with the traffic.nnGood BBQ and dining areas, nice kitchen, spacious sites for RVs.nnCoffee trailer on-site.nnHowever the park is run but Auckland council so they try to save on costs badly. Staff looks very tired, though is very friendly and helpful.nnFacilities are not in a good state. Male toilet has a strong stench of urine which the staff desperately tries to fight with deodorants, but it is still gross. Shower doors miss latches, TP is thin as, etc. Trash bins are full and stink. Wifi is very weak and has only 250MB available for free.nnTent and RV sites are covered with artificial grass, which is nice, but they are uneven and dirty. Also turn into pools after a rain. All covered with some sort of small black grains of soil or plants, not too sure but it gets everywhere.nnThe worst part is the guests at peak time. It is really crowded with lots of unattended kids running around, people just wondering through your site freely, smashing the tent pegs, etc.
