AA office should have a coffee machine for people to use while waiting as this place is often busy at least they have some chairs to sit on now. I was there about an hour that day to get my new updated photo lience. Well at least it a 10 years one now. So much for the lifetime liences.
I visited AA Orewa today as me and my partner needed to get International Driving Permits, we live close so rather than do it online we thought we would pop in instead.nIt was just before lunchtime, there were only 3 people in the queue which moved fairly quickly.nWe were greeted by a friendly and very helpful person Tash I think in fact as we were waiting we were watching all the desk staff and they all seemed very helpful and friendly.nAs the queue started to get bigger, which I'm sure it does during lunchtime, one of the guys from the other depts popped over and chatted to everyone who was waiting to see if he could help them while they waited.nI'm sure the wait times are dependant on what everyone needs, ours did take a bit of time as there were forms and photos that needed to be done, however they were very efficient.nOverall we had a very pleasant experience, and if you were waiting behind us, thanks for being patient :
I hate this place. The que is always huge and the service is slow. I wish they had more staff working the desks. And they are always trying to sell me crappy insurance policies or breakdown policies or some other policies I haven't asked for and that they are making a crazy margin on. I wish there was an alternative place to use
I recently visited the AA Centre in Orewa for driver licensing assistance snd Insurance. and unfortunately had a deeply disappointing experience. While the girls assisting me were friendly and helpful, the manager a lady exhibited shocking behavior. From the moment she addressed me, her tone was abrasive and she seemed to speak rapidly as if in a hurry, which made communication difficult.nnWhat was even more distressing was the evident change in her demeanor upon seeing my skin color. Suddenly, her tone became abusive and racist, which left me feeling deeply uncomfortable and unwelcome. Strikingly, her interactions with other customers appeared entirely different, indicating a troubling bias.nnAdding to the frustration, the male insurance representative at the center seemed disinterested in assisting me and actively avoided engaging with my queries. This lack of support compounded the already poor experience and left me feeling utterly let down by the level of service provided.nnOverall, the behavior of the manager and the apathetic attitude of the insurance representative reflect a severe deficiency in customer service standards at the AA Centre in Orewa. It raises serious questions about the organization's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and basic human decency. Such behavior is unacceptable but also damaging to the reputation of the AA. I sincerely hope that management takes swift and decisive action to address these issues and ensure that all customers are treated with respect and dignity in the future.
Does anyone answer the phones? I have tried to call various extensions from mid morning until the afternoon and no answer. After 13 minutes the call just gets cut off.
