The atmosphere was perfect. The food was incredibly delicious, thank you so much to the chefs. The wine recommendation was absolutely spot on. An absolutely fantastic team! Thank you from the Germans for a wonderful evening.
Out of towners, so first time dining here! What else can I say but this place but simply amazing! Food, service & atmosphere all top class. My wife & I even had a great conversation with this lovely lady at the table next to ours.nIf we are ever in the area again we will be coming back.
We had a fantastic meal at Onyx on Saturday. The online booking was simple, and communicated well - with confirmations and an appropriate reminder the restaurant is busy - highly recommend booking. The service was fantastic - multiple staff checked in on us over our visit, with plenty of opportunity to provide feedback and/or order drinks.nThe food was excellent - we require gluten free and dairy free options, and this was catered for albeit with minimal options with these restrictions. The kids menu was also great - allowing for a pleasant family meal. We had the grilled scallops and pork belly bites for starters, both were great no crackling on the pork belly, but well cooked and great sauce. The slow roasted duck with parsnips was a beautiful main and the seasonal vege side was perfect. Good plate sizes, and everything was well cooked.nThe atmosphere was good - maybe a little less intimate that we would prefer, but others would find the bustle energising.nAll in all, I highly recommend Onyx - we will be back again when different GF DF options are added
Wow what a hidden gem of a restaurant. First time guests and we were welcomed and served by an amazing person named Maddi. The way she interacted with us and the service was 5 star. The food was really really yummy with great presentation. The lights are dimmed down nice as well and creates a nice atmosphere. Thanks Maddi and the team at ONYX.
Great experience dining here with the family. The place has a nice, welcoming ambiance and the service was attentive without being overbearing. I had the chicken bacon fettuccine and it was excellent—creamy, well-seasoned, and the chicken and bacon flavors blended perfectly into the sauce. Even my 2-year-old enjoyed it! Big shout out to my in-laws for taking us there. The restaurant is easy to find, though parking can be a bit of a challenge since it’s off-street only. Overall, a spot worth visiting for good food and a relaxed family meal.
