I use to buy the takeaway sunday at 5 stags thats quite impressive and good. Today id my birthday, and wanted to celebrate with this, and this is what they gave me with a waitwr making snarky comment that they dont usually do this. As much as we like them don't think we'll be going to 5-Stags again.
Booked a reservation 3-4 weeks before mine and my partner 6 months and Valentine’s Day….nnMy reservation day comes around me and my partner get there she was really excited to find out where we are going because she hasn’t been there in ages and im also really exited because this is my FIRST EVER TIME coming here. We tell them we have booked then we are asked for id even tho we weren’t drinking then was told we were both needed id and be 18+ just to eat my girlfriend is 17 im 18 we shouldn’t be declined to eat other that and what not say we needed id or needed to be 18 just to order food in the restaurant area not the bar area we had no problem going to the restaurant area where they normally server people food that are under 18 BS There was nothing about needing or letting us know that we needed to be 18 waste 30 mins driving there then back waste of time and money
Turned away at the door despite attending a work dinner and only wanting food. I’m 17 and don’t drink. Meanwhile, another coworker who was 15 was allowed in without ID because staff assumed he was with parents without confirming. Rules were applied inconsistently and it was embarrassing. If this is an R18 venue, that needs to be made much clearer.
WOW!!! This was my first visit to 5 Stags and was a bit reticent as had read some of the bad reviews. I cannot disagree more strongly. Yesterday I met with friends for lunch and was immediately impressed with the decor.The service was incredible, patient and quick. My meal was so large I took some home for tea, It was delicious and hot. The drinks were extremely well priced, I felt and generous. We had a lovely, relaxing catch-up and I shall definitely go again. Thank you to the friendly staff. Keep up the amazing service.
Regular pub meal. Mussels were very good. Only order the full rack of pork ribs if you are very hungry, or else dont have a starter. The squid starter was good though.
