I ordered a Pork belly main, and I must say I have never been so disappointed in a pork belly.... absolutely no crackle, no crunch, just heavily salted soft chewy skin on top, it looked pan fried on the top. It was so below average it makes my own pork belly I make at home seem 5 star. You should remove it from the menu or put a disclaimer, because anyone in their right mind who orders pork belly, is craving that crackle!nnStaff were reasonably friendly, the environment was nice, food was mehh...
Came in a party of 4, got 3/4 of our meals right and the food was decent, but one in our party got different to what they ordered, they also forgot my fries but quickly remediated the situation and bought them out. Wait staff were very friendly. Was about a 45 minute wait for a Saturday night which wasn’t too bad. Noisy, but to be expected at a pub for a Saturday night when the rugby is on.
What a wonderful experience. The waitress and kitchen were amazing and very accommodating to our dietary issues so thanks if you are looking for a wonderful restaurant that's family friendly and makes amazing food you cannot go wrong with Five Stags Leamington Tavern.nnYou guys are awesome
I recently dined at Five Stags Leamington Tavern and ordered a steak sandwich. The steak was dry, cold, appeared to be composed of trimmings, and was very chewy. Additionally, the fries were cold, and the meal cost $28 for what seemed like beef trimmings. My wife ordered a burger, and the patty tasted predominantly of flour and extenders, with no discernible beef flavor. The patties at McDonald's are of better quality. Based on this experience, we will not be returning to this establishment.
Not for me. Couldn't eat in restaurant unless made a booking so had to eat in main bar, tables too high and chairs were bar stools. Language of other patrons was not very nice which is why we wanted to eat in restaurant. Was told it was booked out but no one came while we were there, 8pm. We will look for a different restaurant next time we are in Cambridge.
