WOW!!! This was my first visit to 5 Stags and was a bit reticent as had read some of the bad reviews. I cannot disagree more strongly. Yesterday I met with friends for lunch and was immediately impressed with the decor.The service was incredible, patient and quick. My meal was so large I took some home for tea, It was delicious and hot. The drinks were extremely well priced, I felt and generous. We had a lovely, relaxing catch-up and I shall definitely go again. Thank you to the friendly staff. Keep up the amazing service.
Wednesday 01/10/25nWent here for a meal with a few others , ordered the beer battered fish and chips ….worst I’ve had anywhere for a long long time . Burnt batter seemed to disguise old fish , warm chips and bagged salad with no dressing …..Absolute rubbish !nA friend had satay chicken which looked like mud soup.nNever again
I recently dined at Five Stags Leamington Tavern and ordered a steak sandwich. The steak was dry, cold, appeared to be composed of trimmings, and was very chewy. Additionally, the fries were cold, and the meal cost $28 for what seemed like beef trimmings. My wife ordered a burger, and the patty tasted predominantly of flour and extenders, with no discernible beef flavor. The patties at McDonald's are of better quality. Based on this experience, we will not be returning to this establishment.
My partner and I had the scotch fillet and it was tender, well seasoned and had a delicious just-off-the-grill smokey finish. It was a good portion for the price.
Came in a party of 4, got 3/4 of our meals right and the food was decent, but one in our party got different to what they ordered, they also forgot my fries but quickly remediated the situation and bought them out. Wait staff were very friendly. Was about a 45 minute wait for a Saturday night which wasn’t too bad. Noisy, but to be expected at a pub for a Saturday night when the rugby is on.
