Olive Grove Cafe

I took my parents today for lunch. This is inside Davids by Cherry Lane Garden Centre. The wait for service is sometimes rather long and trying to get their attention is quite tricky! To say it's a Garden centre, more effort could be made to make it feel more homely. A few pictures on the wall and low music would add ambience to the place. The food was great however. Good size portions, tasty, and the menu has something for everyone. Gluten free bread is even available All in all I would definitely return but a little more atmosphere and a few more smiles from the staff would make it perfect. Vegetarian options: Jacket potatoes, sandwiches, omelette

Horrible food Chicken and stuffing sandwich was just grey mush that looked like cat vomit and had an overpowering after taste of margarine. Chips were drenched in oil and were body temperature There are 25 tables, if when you arrive you see it's at least half full, this will be described as "a bit of a rush 9n", which means your table will be dirty and your order will be a long wait. The 2 stars are for the staff whose fault this is not. They were friendly and welcoming. Although the lady that seats people could find a smile. Parking at the Garden Centre is free. Our 1st visit today. Lovely cafe/staff & good selection on menu, all at a very reasonable price. Will definitely visit again. Food: 5/5

We come here every fortnight for many years always happy even when slow service. New menu with higher prices. Newly added flat breads is a joke. It's an over priced wrap. Beware!

Arrived a few minutes before last orders for lunch but we were welcomed in. Our lunch arrived soon after ordering and was delicious. The pot of tea which was plentiful tasted wonderful.Food: 5/5

Met a friend for coffee here. It was OK, but no scones, no teacakes. In fact, not a lot all in the cake department. Disappointed.Food: 3/5

Tucked in the back of the garden centre, is this wonderful little restaurant, What can I say as warm welcome, great service, wonderful home cooked food, and very affordable, don't just read this go and try it, oh and if ham, egg and chips is a favourite of yours, get down there post haste their's is to die for. We enjoyed the omelettes one ham & cheese, the other mushroom & cheese. The salad was very nice. We ate outside, which was quite pleasant. One or two extra parasols would be helpful to provide more shade. The staff were very efficient and our meals were served promptly.
