Spacious, private, many amenities, daily laundry service for towelssuper helpful and kind owners here. This place feels homely, even though it's a motel and a temporary stay. Wish there were more washing machines though.
We slept on the pull out sofa the base was missing springs and the metal frame was bent to the point we were unable to sleep on it. The mattress itself was ripped and springs were poking out of it into our bodies. We ended up sleeping on the mattress on the floor. The couple we stayed with said the bed was equally as horrible. No milk was provided. There were only two towels in the room. One drinking glass. The only good thing was it was clean.
Very noisy. Cleaner forgot to clean our room. Had to ask for extra towels. Family members in other rooms were told to be quiet at 8.30 at night when there was only one other set of guests. They weren't even that loud.
Very clean and well presented room. I was here for 3 nights and had no issues. Bed was very comfortable and good having basic cooking facilities. Free WiFi and off street parking. Just be aware that is is close to the main rail line and main road so do expect a bit of road/rail noise.
So many cosmetic problems with the room we had. I wrote a list of 5 things. and handed my list to the owner. There were other things but they were minor annoyances .My biggest pevs were the spa bath didn't work and the bath was dirty no air conditioner but fans that you could not plug in safely so the room was stinking hot .We went out for dinner got back after 10pm and did not wake the owners. We had prepaid otherwise would have gone elsewhere. So disappointed Matamata lovely friendly welcoming people.
Stayed here recently while the room was good and we did not have any issues I noted it looked like many clientele were checked in here for emergency accommodations so it did not have the atmosphere of a for tourists and travelers motel to me. Rooms are a mezzanine design so it can be quite noisy and hot upstairs at times Rooms were in good condition Good water pressure and lots of hot water The office attendants car was parked slightly inconveniently in the entrance
Good place to stay if short term, very hot inside even at midnight. Would be great if they had air conditioning. Pedestal fans are provided however these are ineffectual. Good location. However found dead cockroaches in one of the beds. 3 stars because other than that is was quite tidy.
Very budget for what u pay the beds are stained and old.. 1 cup 2 plates 5 knives all odd there is emergency accommodation at this hotel so it is quite uncomfortable! I dont recomend thus place as there is way better down the road and cheaper!!! Ripped off
Had a very comfortable stay here last week on our travels through the North Island. Definitely one of the loveliest we had, very clean with everything we needed. Would have liked to stay longer!
Dissappointed. We stayed one night in unit 8, 2 bedroom apartment for $219. Room features included: Sky Digital TV, Spa bath, Free Wi-fi. Reality: Only 1 sky channel, very old samsung TV broken, Spa Bath also broken, Wi Fi does not work in the room. Tv was replaced when reported, apologies for broken spa, clean, tidy, friendly staff, cute hotel cat.
