Nightmare at the Museum

About

The Dark Arts will run for two spooky nights at the new venue of The Arts Village on the 5th and 6th September 2018.

Story

Just when you thought it was over and safe to go back, Nightmare at the Museum Horror Walk is returning to Rotorua Museum in August 2016 for three spooky nights!

After a 3 year hiatus and four sell-out walks in 2013, this year’s event promises to deliver more fear with an extended horror walk.

Come brave the dark and terrifying corridors of the Museum. Witness first-hand the gruesome happenings at the Museum after dark, from the frightening depths of the mudbath basement through to the ghostly hallways.

You won’t know what’s around the corner!
Running over three chilling nights:
• Friday 5 August 2016
• Saturday 6 August 2016
• Sunday 7 August 2016

The first walk starts at 7pm and last walk concludes at 10pm (Maximum of five people per walk). Each walk will take around 15 minutes to complete (shorter if you run screaming through all of it!)

Tickets are $15 per person and tickets will be available from Rotorua Museum reception from Monday 4 July 2016. Bookings only accepted with full payment.

Due to the popularity of this event we suggest you get in quick!

This event is restricted to people aged 13 and older – so students need to bring ID as proof of age

Gorgeous building and grounds. Gift shop in foyer. Rose garden just outside to the north. Kids playground beyond that. Nice grounds for kids to play in..
Although museum is not currently ipen, we were still treated to a tour of the area by Ann-Elise Miles. She was amazing. Very informative and was able to show us things we had no idea existed
Great garden, museum not open till 2022 still Great to visit.
One of my favourite places of culture/history in the country. The museum is beautiful, whilst the grounds and buildings are gorgeous, holding out for the museum to reopen so i can return.
Simply beautiful and so well maintained.
Beautiful park with colorful flowers, reflecting pool and the historical museum building.
Magnificent building structure surrounded by tulips and assorted flowers via government gardens. Best time to visit is late afternoon or early in the morning to avoid the other people crowding the place.. September to october visit was awesome to witness the tulip bloom in the gardens..
