Wheelchair access was narrow, but a staff member helped us in & out. Service all through was awesome. The food was excellent, and the chef made me a special meal to cater to my food allergies. Slightly pricey, but that's Arrowtown for you! Noteworthy details: Classic pub in a gorgeous old building right in the middle of the village.
Went to watch the football and I asked to reserve a table and when we arrived they put the football on the TV and sat us at our reserved table. Staff very friendly and service was great. Plate portions plentiful Recommend the Brownie for desert Rooms: 4/5
I order Roast lamb very nice, but my wife had ribs and I kid you not, she was lucky if she got 2 mouthfuls of meat. VERY DISAPPOINTED as it was premium pricing. Staff did not seem to care as if we were the issue.Rooms: 1/5
Room was very dated and the carpet was very soiled. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very functional. However, the location is superb and the hotel lobby/lounge was very comfortable.Rooms: 3/5
It's a really nice-looking pub. Clean, well maintained, and with a beautiful outdoor area. On our visit, the service was a little disappointing. We were the first customers in there in the morning. We were not acknowledged when we entered, and after waiting a couple of minutes at our chosen table, we made our own way up to the bar to get menus. The bartender seemed new but was pleasant. The pint she was pouring for my wife ran out halfway through and belched a load of C02 into the pint. After changing the keg, the bartended topped up the old spoiled pint. Unsurprisingly, my wife didn't enjoy the pint around $15 worth and asked for me to return it. The manager/owner then swooped in and gave me a lecture about how tap beer works and how there was nothing wrong with it. Made me feel like the naughty kid. I asked her if she wished to try it, and she sneared and said, " Not the one you have drank out of." She then poured herself a fresh taste from the new keg and said that it was fine. I asked if she could then replace the old pint with one poured from the new tap and she begrudgingly agreed but said that's all she could do, whatever that means. This interaction ruined anotherwise pleasant brunch. Food was good. The place is worth a try. We probably just got them on a bad day.
We arrived in Queenstown and hired a car. We decided to go for a drive and we happened to drive to Arrowtown approximately 20 kilometres from Queenstown. As you drive through this place becomes a living painting with the mountains in the background and the trees with vibrant shades of gold, orange and red. The main street is lined with historic buildings left from the gold rush era and now have been transformed into clothing shops, cafes and restaurants. I found the New Orleans Hotel and I wanted to try one of the local beers but being Easter Sunday they were not allowed to serve beer without a meal. So I went a few shops down and brought a bottle of water
Fantastic place for meal. Friendly service and top quality food. There hot chips especially were a stand outService: 5/5
Standard nz pub food was good portion sizes and really tasty Can be very busy at times Food & drinks: Great pub food
It appears they only help the homeless who have jobs I seen an online article when searching emergency accommodation as I'm on invalid benefit and having life threatening issues with my organs and in constant pain I saw the online article say they were helping people charging $50 night or $100 for 3 nights. A heavily discounted rate. However offered it for $100 a night to me. Which I can't afford at all. But they charge less for those who are working?
Full 5 stars, we came for vacation and wanted something nice to eat. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good.Service: 5/5
