Relatively small reserve but with quite breathtaking scenery tucked inside, without telling where it is, the picture look like as if it's taken from some bush walk in the Coromandel, locate at the centre there is an open space with a few picnic tables, toilet locate near the entrance.
A great old growth forest still left standing as an oasis in the middle of residential development. Back in the day it was in the middle of nowhere, but now development is pressing against its borders sadly. But still once you get deep enough the sound of traffic and the suburbs disappear and you only hear birdsong, the sound of the brook, or the wind in the trees. A great place to come for a walk, or to have a picnic.
Murphys Bush is a beautiful park and bush walk. Amazing scenery and spectacular bush walk for family's, excersize and dogs. My dog especially loves it. Plenty of parking, safe environment, great location and relaxed fun for all.
Very nice, clean and quite place in the middle of busy area. Can see and feel the nz bush preserved and the path made are really good, can't get lost and the arrows shows which way to go. Just love listening to the birds and nature.
So originally was hesitant to go as it's.. reputation is a bit seedy. But was really nice - looked to be well maintained and quite quiet for a public holiday
Great to escape the Auckland heat in the cool native trees. You'll come across nikau, kahikatea, totara, puriri, rimu and more. There are picnic tables and a toilet block by the car park.
Great spot for a small walk, and if you love to hear birds you must go there..
I like this park. There are not many places or streets with large trees in the Flat Bush area. There is a small track where you can walk 5min i am think. Unfortunately, you can’t walk there with a stroller, but I saw people having a picnic there. Great place to walk the dog. I gave it 4 stars because I saw rubbish there.
Great walk for family
Nice little spot for a short walk. The signage needs some updating!
