A recommended place for hiking. The natural environment is well preserved. Very diverse plants. Wooden steps, don't worry about mud on the road after rain. The mountain is not very high, but the sea can be seen in the distance from the top of the mountain. Difficulty level: low to medium.
Wow amazing walk! About 1k steps up, stairs are sturdy and so beautiful greenery. Great sweat, took about 40mins up. Doable on a hot sunny day as trees cover the sun. Definitely will do it again
Great spot. Popular. Loads of stairs. Heck of a workout. You can do a loop too. Well-maintained tracks and boardwalks. Good tree cover for those hot days. Kimptons Track is kind of hidden though and could do with some more markers. Fantastic views up there
It is a beautiful walking loop with a lookout platform. It takes about 1 hour to go all the way. There is a short walk about 5 min to the little water fall. Walking path is not difficult. There are newly built walking steps. You can listen to bird's singing all the way.
We took the Puriri walk to the right at the base of the tracks. My goodness, so many stairs!! Half way I said, "if there are 1000 stairs I think I may just die", well there isn't. There's exactly 994! Still an epic hike, old and young people were on the path, and dog friendly too. Stunning views at the top and a toilet at the base. Ample parking. Great spot!
Nice walk, summit had amazing views, kid friendly and lovely waterfall at the bottom.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
Great walk and view from the top, be prepared for stairs. Eastern track is currently closed or else you be able to do the loop. It’s a good track for running, some parts can be narrow so watch out for other runners and people. There’s a small confidence course next to the car park which is also fun. Parking is available in the small car park or along the road just outside. The short walk to the old quarry is nice for some simple photos.
A lazy Sunday stroll turned into a puffing and panting climb up HEAPS of stairs with my girl and our dog ... being unfit was a challenge but was determined to see the view and glad for persevering!!! Loved the beautiful experience, love nature!!! Would love to know how many stairs there are?
If you were describing the walks in Clevedon Scenic Reserve in one word that word would have to be stairs. But if you could use a few more I'd add peaceful, scenic and worth it. Great place to go for a good walk and you may come away just a little fitter.
Another Auckland gem.Close to the township, popular with walkers, joggers etc. Great scenic spot for picnics, relaxing, getting selfies, even flying a drone. The walk to the summit rewards you with an amazing view. There are public toilets, an obstacle/confidence type course, and a fun bridge to stomp over. The carpark is an odd circular shape. In easy walking distance from the carpark, there is a trickly waterfall spot, whose flow varies, great selfy spot. Don't be surprised to see lovely wood pigeon cruising around. Great place to exercise or just relax.
