Had a lovely walk, turned right at the t-junction, it saids 1hour but time goes by when you're enjoying the scenery, we took lots of photos, didn't make it right to the end but we did get a lot of exercise out of it, as it goes uphill to the lookout then down again.
One of my fave walks. We regularly do the smaller loop that goes out to the right prob about 20min and occasionally do the bigger walk. We walk about 3kms and turn around. You could do a loop but you'd be walking on the road on the way back and would need to consider the tides.
Beautiful reserve and walk with stunning views and great shade areas and play areas for dogs. There is a 30min, 45min and 1h loops and a lovely fenced area for dogs to run lose.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
One of the best walks around East Auckland. Take some water, be prepared for a few hours of walking if you're planning on doing the cockle bay track!
Amazing, well kept roads. Most of them through the forest, so great if windy or if the weather isnt good. Beautiful beach at the end, Cockle bay! Dogs love it on the leash :
Such a delightful trail walk through gorgeous forest trees and waterways leading to Shelley Park beach to Cockle bay. A must do for a moderate hike.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A very easy trail for beginners. Ends at the beach where you can take in amazing views.
Good walk around Auckland. Not much parking so take note of that. Don't forget your sunblock!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Glad I stumbled upon this reserve! So close to Botany and Manukau city, its an easy walk down to the beach or via the top on the grass lawn. Amazing views all round especially of the east coast! Its also a good reserve to go for a run or walk your dog. To see the various tracks, distance and walk times check out my pictures.
An easy pleasant walk. Took Somerville Road entrance and walked to Sandspit, Cockle Bay. Track good grade. Only issue is it's popular, which is good but had to contend with pushy runners barging down the track. First world problems really.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
