Had a quick lunch here a week or to back. I opted for a burger and fries and it was fine. My wife had a salad and found it a bit bland and underwhelming on the day. Kids liked their meals. We ate at the tables out the back of the cafe and it was pretty cold. Very high ceilings, so harder to heat, but be nice to have that space a little warmer. Heated our hands on the warm coffee cups, the coffees were great! Service was good and the staff were polite and courteous. Worth a visit for sure.
Ordered the big breakfast and blueberry pancakes. The big breakfast was okay although the sausages were a bit overcooked but the blueberry pancakes were supposed to have fresh blueberries but had frozen ones. Plus for a $16 dish only one pancake piled high with cream seems a bit cheap. And it would have been nice to have the maple syrup on the side as it was a bit sweet
Went out of my way from the other side of town to have lunch here but overall experience was disappointing. Looking at the photos posted by other reviewers, their food looked amazing. But once I got my Salmon, the serving size was incredibly small.. I got some baby broccoli sprinkled around a small and lonely looking salmon. The salmon was only around 9cm max and incredibly thin and overcooked. They seem to use smaller plates so it's really hard to tell how big serving sizes are in photos.. but this theme seems consistent as my partner's plate of steak was also very lacking. We left the restaurant hungry. Overall would say service size is not worth it for the price.
Absolutely terrible experience. Took 45min for food to arrive which in my case was the creamy mushrooms on toast. What arrived was a tiny piece of toast with a few mooshrooms on it. Absolutely tiny portion for $16... Coffee arrived cold as well. The worst was the wait though in an empty cafe. Avoid this place at all cost!! Happy to read others had similar experiences
really friendly and efficient service, although serving size was really small for the price. i ordered the hash stack and while it said it came with two eggs and fried tomato, it came with one egg and a cold slice of tomato which was a little weird. also, i asked for oat milk instead of regular and was still given regular milk - luckily i only drink oat milk out of choice but i could have been allergic or lactose intolerant.
Flat white coffee is ok, hash stack tastes nice, bacon is crispy and the whole dish is warm and full of flavors. The cajun salmon dish is really bad, it was frozen and you can tell it was heated by microwave oven.
The photo below shows what's left of my order of eggs benny. Very tasty and not over the top. Highly recommended. Ah, and the coffee is good too! =
Bad! Food portions are very small and quality is quite bad, coffee was also really bad, and don't get me started with how dirty is outdoor place was. And service, the front house borderline rude. For a mum trying to get out with baby not a good experience. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
BEST CURLY FRIES IN TOWN!!! The combination of the crispy fries in addition with the chicken seasoning they add on top….seriously, if you haven’t had these during your visit, you are missing out! The staff are also really friendly and have gone above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable
A great little find! Good coffee, generous portions that were very tasty and we didn’t have to wait long! Definitely worth a try!
