The absolute best daycare for adventurous kids. My son attended Muddy Toes for almost 2 years and he absolutely loved it. The best part was the teachers. They love the kids to their core and it was beautiful to see my son thriving under the care of these amazing humans. Daily excursions are an absolute bonus. My son would come home with stories from his beach visits, nature walks, playground stops - all the things he wouldn’t get to do at a regular daycare. This place is 10/10. Highly recommend!
Our daughter has been attending Muddy Toes for nearly a year now and we still love this centre for her! She is so well cared for, gets to spend time with all ages which we love, and best of all she gets to spend majority of her time outdoors!nWe would highly recommend Muddy Toes Stanmore Bay, especially for those wanting their kids to grow up making fun out of anything and dancing in the rain!
Our son started at Muddy Toes just before he turned two and has only just left for school, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place for his early years.nnWhat first drew me in was the philosophy. He could truly be a real Kiwi kid, barefoot, covered in mud, exploring the beach, climbing trees, and learning through real, simple, meaningful experiences. It wasn’t rushed or overcomplicated. It was childhood the way it should be full of adventure, freedom, and connection to nature.nnThe growth we saw in his confidence, resilience, and love of learning was incredible. He was known, valued, and supported as an individual every single day.nnIn fact, our experience was so powerful that it inspired me to train as a kaiako myself and now I have the privilege of teaching at Muddy Toes and watching other tamariki thrive in the same way my son did.nnForever grateful for the foundation they gave him.
We love Muddy Toes! My son loves going here and we've felt so supported by all the teachers and staff. The teachers know and care for all the children, and you really feel a personal connection and sense of belonging to the community they've built. I found the team very kind and understanding when transitioning my son to daycare. He'd never been without me before and I was nervous! But the team put me at ease and helped us to adjust smoothly.nOn top of all this, the Forest Philosophy they use is so great for the kids! They're outside rain or shine and the Kaiako even take them out on excursions to the bush, beach, and park! You can see how much confidence this builds for the children and is a pretty unique feature of Muddy Toes.nOne of the other reasons we chose this centre was due to the fact the children can all interact, they're not fully separated by age. Watching my son modeling after the older children has been so great and we've really noticed him excel and challenge himself because of this.nI feel like Muddy Toes is so great for my son's development, I completely trust all the teachers there, and most importantly, he has a great time and is excited to go! Thanks, Muddy Toes team for all that you do.
This centre has an amazing philosophy Forest philosophy where the children have a space to really be children! They also learn and discover about the outdoors and animals. During their day they go on walks to the beach, they bake, they paint, they get muddy! How do I know this? Because I teach here! The team is amazing and it's one of three centres all owned by the same great owner.
