Happy Hive Early Learning Centre

Happy Hive is a warm, spacious and welcoming space for babies and parents. My daughter has been going to the centre for three months and we are noticing her changes day by day. She sleeps well, eats plenty and plays happily. The team were very helpful with her transition and it only took her two weeks to fully settle in. It’s heart warming to see her being so happy with other babies and the teachers take really good care of her, which is so reassuring for a working mum. Well done.

Both of our children have been attending this kindergarten for the past 7 months, and we’ve been very happy with our experience. The teachers are caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children’s wellbeing. Our children have settled well and enjoy going each day, which gives us a lot of confidence as parents. Communication has been clear and consistent, and the environment feels calm, safe, and welcoming.

We are absolutely delighted with our choice to send both our daughters—one is 5 years old and the other just turned 1—to Happy Hive. We were particularly impressed with how smoothly and quickly our one-year-old settled into the Under 2s room, which speaks volumes about the warmth and care provided by the fantastic and dedicated teachers there. In the Over 2s room, the staff excels at creating a vibrant and friendly environment where our older daughter has flourished socially and built wonderful friendships. Furthermore, both rooms benefit from a wonderful environment that is spacious, clean, and features a thoughtful, child-oriented setup. A massive highlight is also their amazing cook; the nutritious, home-cooked, and varied meals provided are exceptional, giving us complete peace of mind about our daughters' daily well-being. We highly recommend Happy Hive for its warm environment, excellent staff, and outstanding attention to nutrition.

Happy Hive has been an incredible place for our daughter, Emma. We are from Peru, and when we first arrived in New Zealand, she didn’t know any English. The first days were very hard for us as parents too.nnFrom the very beginning, Catherine and her amazing team made us feel supported and reassured. The teachers are so loving, patient, and genuinely care about each child. Thanks to them, Emma has become much more confident, independent, and now speaks English beautifully. She’s truly a bilingual little girl!nnWe recently had to move to Dunedin because of work, but we will always remember Happy Hive with great affection and gratitude.
