Story

Moana Pool is an iconic place for Dunedin, where much of the community will have treasured memories and learnt to swim.

As home to coaching legend Duncan Laing and the training ground of swimming heroes Dave Gerrard, Danyon Loader and Paralympian Jenny Newstead it is also a place where legends are made.

The pool was officially opened on 14 November 1964 and in 2014 celebrated its 50th anniversary.

came here for a casual workout. What a cool gym! decisively cheaper than privately owned gyms. large and clean with a great window front overlooking the town. no lockers, though. small towels provided for training, not for showering. you can use the pool facilities with the gym pass as well.

Probably one of Dunedins best places to go for a fun day out, there is a variety of different pools for the children and adults with the hydro slide to keep everyone entertained. The gym is very well structured with good equipment and different exercise classes at specific times. They have good fitness trainers with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Fantastic choice of pools and activities. It is a bit of a maze but well signposted. Friendly and attentive staff. It would benefit from a cafe for parents that are just spectators though it is possible I just didn't spot it.

This is a fantastic complex. Generous family pool with wave section, lazy river and toddler areas. Multiple learn to swim and lane pools and diving pool plus the hydro slides are always a favourite. Facilities were clean and staff friendly. Plenty of life guards also. Relatively expensive for slide plus swim but you get what to pay for.

Although the pool is working under level two and there is no showers, drinking fountains or spa, I am grateful that they are open. The staff are extra welcoming. There are restrictions on numbers in at a time, this is to keep us safe. I like that you can buy a multi ticket and get a good discount.

Son and his dad went. We were looking for a pool so our son cod have some swimming fun. We are from Wellington, driving down south and basically exploring. Have a wave pool which ive neva seen before, real groovy. Different areas to swim. Hydro slide. Picnic table areas outsyd

Big slay. nice waves, very clean very nice. pools are big and good temperature. Kinda unclear where I'm allowed to swim but idk its fun. THEY HAVE SLIDES. i may be an adult legally but twisty slides is an always kinda thing. love this place big slay 3/3

Moana Pool is a good pool though the building itself could do with a lick of paint and a clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the wave pool looks a lot of fun.

Nice pool, good hot showers. Didn't like the stairs to get from changing room to pool tho.
