Mexicano's

Great atmosphere and loved the decor. The food came out quickly and fresh. I only have two critics : 1 as soon as we entered the restaurant, we waited for about 10 minutes before we were actually acknowledged albeit several wait staff walking passed us and 2 although food was delicious, the serving size was smaller than we expected which meant the $70 we paid for 1× entree, 2 x main & 1 drink didn't stack up for us. I would go back again for the nachos but maybe visit the Dirty Lands instead.

Frozen margheritas were beautiful! It was a little bit of a wait to be seated but other than that, everything else was spot on. I had some Nachos and Tacos which were both very nice. The place had good ambience and the bar staff were friendly asFood: 4/5

Mexicanos is one of the best Mexican food restaurants in Christchurch, if not the best. Amazing food every time, great friendly service, awesome value for money and the food comes out so quickly! Have never had a bad experience here, highly recommend.

I don't usually like Mexican but this was an exception. Cornchips and dip was yummy, skewers, chicken and prawn tacos were delicious. The fish dish was tasty, a little dry on the edges around the plate but overall loved the experience and food.

Been there on Saturday night with a frend of mine. Its way too noisy place. Most of their food tasted like pure lemons . Size of the dishes is way to small as per price.Recommended dishesQuesadillas

Tried this place out for a light dinner. Ordered the salsa/guacamole with corn chips and a glass elderflower hibiscus sangria. The food was fine, but nothing really to get excited about in-terms of flavour. The service was lovely though.

Some dishes are really delicious, but some are a big miss in my opinion. * the quesadilla is very good * butter cumin fish taco and the chicken taco are delicious! But grilled fish taco was average * skin potatoes with cheese sauce were quite bad. I wasn’t able to eat them. * cocktails are bad. We tried the classic frozen margarita and a mango margarita, both were average at most. The food came super fast and the place looks nice. I think you can have a really tasty dinner here, but you need to know what dishes to order otherwise it could be a total miss.
